damn funny thread as it is always on the launch of a new bike .

Anyways talking about the bike .
From the pictures it can be seen that the thing that acts like a mud guard , dont know whats it called , semi-circle on the wheel .
So this would mean that there is no or less scope to put a fatter rear tyre which is common for posers and pulsar guys who nowadays put FZ tyres in their pulsar . Just for this stupid cause , the guy would choose either pulsar 150 or some other bike .
And from the engine cylinder size it does not look like a 180 like some guys were telling .
But from my experience so far , I would like to make a guess that this bike will handle nicely , better than current pulsars may be 220 can be considered as an exception .
But as usual , in attempt to gain something , there is always a loss somewhere which I dont like to comment on about this bike , being safe

For eg : for improving handling , the 220 rear shocks were made more stiff
which improved handling but comfort level was reduced .
Why cant bajaj instead of hurrying , try to work on it and strike a balance between both . Agree from business point of view they are correct , but out there from an engineers point of view , a biker's point of view , a riders point of view they might lower themselves .

Bajaj should have perfected the pulsar design by now . I mean we blame HH for coming up with sticker work but they are supreme market experts in stickering now . Its been many years now , I really think bajaj should have perfected the design . But from the current strategy I know that might not happen , atleast till something compells them to .

That is why I sometimes like the japs , they come out with something which is kinda perfect . for eg : The Zma - whatta bike ... whatever bike comes out I will always have respect for this amazing bike , R15 except the alloy quality from yamaha .

It is this perfection because of which HH has earned respect in the eyes of common man even though they have not retained the same quality . But once impression is formed , it remains . For eg : the new Splendor+ is not the same reliable and strong going as the original splendor . I am talking this from what I have seen n I know , might be wrong .
And it is this perfection which earned RX n RD the legendary status .

Way to go bajaj , still I have a lot of respect for this company for they are the ones which keep the sense of competition which leads to constant improvement and good new bikes even from other companies .

    Cheers

Bajaj follows the same policy which the manufacturers of other products follow. That is the basic marketing strategy. Why will they still keep producing a product which does not sell?

An example which I can think of is mobile phones. Nokia has many models under the Nseries. So will a person not buy a new Nseries phone just because it is not exclusive(i.e it belongs to the same N series)? This is not the case here. People buy phones by looking at the features and not by looking at the exclusivity. And after a few months or a year the same phone becomes phased out. So will he not buy that phone fearing that it will be phased out in a year? Suppose a person buys a phone for Rs.30000 and the very next week the price comes down to Rs.28000. So will he stop buying phones fearing that the price will come down in a week? Will a person still buy a Nokia phone if they sell the N70 till now and just keep changing the colour of the panel? People want a change in the product and want it to be up to date with the latest technology. If a person fears about losing exclusivity of the product which he buys, then he cannot make a right choice in the first place itself.

This same logic can be applied to bikes. Will a person stop buying a bike only because it is not exclusive or it might be phased out in the future? A person buys a bike for his own pleasure, not for telling others that he has a particular "exclusive" bike, so that they may praise him for getting that bike. A person looks at the features that he is offered at a given price and makes a decision based on that.

    Period

seems like no one here had heard this dialogue

"What's in a name? That which we call a rose
By any other name would smell as sweet."

whatever its name is, a good bike is coming to the market and thats the main point

if i was a businessman i would certainly do what these guys were doing...its correct business sense....bajaj aint our relative to feel sorry for giving new products top line goodies and coax us for not getting them because we alreadt bought a product before...all business man.its upto us to buy the product or not...if you want those parts, buy them from your own pocket and install them...

i dont know why everyone is so hell bent in proving bajaj is a cheating degrading company when its trying so hard to improve its quality of products and also in every aspect,be it the backlight switch console or any other goodies, bajaj brought them first and then later after seeing market response other companies are doing the same...its bajaj which is experimenting and taking every risk...

today while going home i was behind a car and thanx to the bloddy ****ed up roads of hyderabad,i have gone over 3 potholes(sewer holes) straight...i immediatedly set the bike on middle stand and checked the rims and tyres....Awesommmm...not even a slight dent...if my fz would have been there,my rims would have surely cracked or bent..i just gained a new respect for my bike today

So for Mr. Expert who knows more than others -- I guess even blind can see similarities and dissimilarities between the two bikes. If you now bike in the pic as XCD sprint, modified or I say upgraded, seen in new pic -- is named as P135. I don't know what's the problem with all guys who can't see a bike made over XCD sprint as P135?

By the language, it seems all the adjectives added in above posts suit more to someone else, someone intelligent .

i don't know what all are expecting from 135cc, features, looks & performance of Ninja .... Bajaj is targeting all sections of masses, so they have to think holistic of all masses, Ninja is here from their stable, just wait they too are going to launch bikes from KTM so check them all ans select the one suits your taste ..

If its really going to look like this then I am really disappointed, It is hardly showing Pulsar DNA. Except the logo

Looking like some experiment gone totally wrong. It even has clip ons
Tail piece and R6 type num plate looks cool. Bajaj is quite stupid. The P150 doesnt have clip ons, but the P135 has got the same
