It can't kill 125 segment, all it can do is cannibalize it's own siblings sales....i.e. Disc135 and XCD135. Whatever.., Bajaj will be happy to claim that they enjoy 100% marketshare in 135cc segment. At once they enjoyed 100% in 125 segment (but presently just 0.01% with Platina125).

If it is not then the final product wont have any real change apart from some minor sticker jobs I guess. Overall, it will be a good buy and will prove to be a great sale booster for Bajaj.

Guys lets not criticize this bike. its meant for the sporty commuter. its competition lies with the HH super splendor and the likes. overall i dont think it looks bad considering that its only a 125/135 cc commuter bike.this bike has features that no other bike in that segment has.

somewelcome additions:

1) now finally pulsar will come up with knee recess in the tank.how i wish bigger pulsars had knee recess. hope they change the bigger pulsar's as well.

2) rear sets and those footrests are good looking .i will get the footrests for my 220.

3)the rear end looks great.and the grab rail are raised a bit for the commuters. would like to add those to my 220.they sure look more practical than the present sets on the bigger pulsar and better than the RTR horns which looks odd on the 220.

4)the mud guard has a little flap attached to it with screws. if its removed the rear end will resemble the rear end of the XCD shown in the auto expo.

overall seems like a good product if you compare it only with the current 125cc and below segment.the gladiator and stunner are better looking ones but pricing and mileage will determine how well this bike will sell.and i expect bajaj to quote an insane fuel economy figures for this as well


the rest digital display, clipons, etc etc... are also welcome.if its priced right and is frugal with comparable power to the current 125s it will sell like hot cake.BTW 125 cc commuters are never bothered about the power they want style features and mileage, above all reliability.considering this i think bajaj has hit the bulls eye( though i wouldnt vouch for bajaj reliability).

guys see it as a regular 125/135 and not as future Pulsar and then i feel you will appreciate the bike.

If priced right, this will kill the 125 market. Because when people are getting split seats,clipons,digital speedo, etc they will surely buy it.
We can judge this by seeing the various desperate mods done on present 100-150 cc bikes by their owners.

The bike sure looks a bit awkard on the pictures but if I compare it with goodbyetraffic.in then I don't know because whatever we see under the cover there it actually looks much better than the ones posted here.

My initial impression on the bike. Take that rear tyre hugger out and also the front visor ( I personally don't like these visors and prefer naked styling) and the bike will look much better.

Also I guess the tyre hugger is extended so much so as to clear ARAI regulations.

Don't jump on the specification so early.If this is a 4V then no way its going to be 10bhp only.If I remember than the proto of Sprint shown on Auto Expo had 12.5ps of power (Not sure).Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

I agree, people's expectations were high because of the brand name Pulsar.This bike will be priced almost as that of the other underpowered 125ccs and will provide maximum VFM.It surely gonna sell even if it looks weird!!
