Sometimes its not just a product, but the brand or family that product comes from that becomes more important.

Just to put things into perspective, iPod- One of my favorite brand.

There might be a "Shuffle", a "Nano" or the "iPod Classic"... all of them posses its own characteristic and at the same time retains the common element that they belong to the iPod family.

Anybody who buys a "shuffle" or a "nano", gets it for its function and also because of the "BRAND - iPod".

AFAIK, only an illiterate does that and not a knowledgable guy and an xbhpian will never do that becase each bike has some special characteristic which other bike cannot match and we all know that.. This will nowhere dent the pulsar image.. I still refer my bike as P180 and atleast my friends wont ask me oh is it a pulsar??? with a shitty face...

Who told you that product was XCD sprint or something else which is named P135?
You can blame Bajaj because they showed some concept with some name and launched something on that line with name, but I can't blame some coveted bike manufacturer because they never had any CONCEPT shown ... this is too much. People have problem that Bajaj named something different based on some platform P135, what about companies who name same thing on same platform painted in different color combination differently ..
I would say - I still prefer first one who is cashing on one brand name while other one is just fooling customers. In fact you should have blamed Bajaj if they had named bored P150 a P180 or something like that.

..... Seriously I have seen him doing this more than 3 times alteast.. I dont know why the mods haven't taken any action so far!

For morons who dont know

It s not just the same XCD 135 thats on road now. It has a new 4 Valve engine which was displayed in one of the Auto Expos.

And the supposed to be launced XCD Sprint only is now re-christened as the Pulsar 135.

right on....even before the p220 dtsi people were telling they have p150 or p180 or p200...its nothing new...and people are saying downgrade and all...but recently bajaj launched the p220 dtsi so now they have stopped thinking about the higher segment for now cause they are in top position with the new 220 and also worked their asses off for the ninja....now they are concentrating the lower segments...

if i was a businessman i would certainly do what these guys were doing...its correct business sense....bajaj aint our relative to feel sorry for giving new products top line goodies and coax us for not getting them because we alreadt bought a product before...all business man.its upto us to buy the product or not...if you want those parts,buy them from your own pocket and install them...

i dont know why everyone is so hell bent in proving bajaj is a cheating degrading company when its trying so hard to improve its quality of products and also in every aspect,be it the backlight switch console or any other goodies,bajaj brought them first and then later after seeing market response other companies are doing the same...its bajaj which is experimenting and taking every risk...


today while going home i was behind a car and thanx to the bloddy ****ed up roads of hyderabad,i have gone over 3 potholes(sewer holes) straight...i immediatedly set the bike on middle stand and checked the rims and tyres....Awesommmm...not even a slight dent...if my fz would have been there,my rims would have surely cracked or bent..i just gained a new respect for my bike today
