No specifications from the company given out. Looks like a gladiator at most places.
I guess its a <135 milled bike pitted against P135LS and Twister.
no, the link says its a 150cc, stripped down fazer engine.... which means it would be a lighter bike with 14PS and 14 Nm of torque.... that for me is nice

hope! Disk brakes are atleast optional

Also motorbeam speculates in that article it to be a cheapest 150cc bike

Instead of defaming RX100 why not they come up with some good 150 commutes.

RX100 would sell if it is still kept as a 2 stroke and will outsell any other bike even today.
Guys, I don't know what to comment on this. I'm hating this news.!

They are erasing the legend the RX100 is. If you can't make it 2 stroke, Why are you making it at all?

My message is that, even if that 4 stroke Rx "somehow" makes 14 bhp, it will NOT have the torque spread, and PTW Ratio of its 2 stroke version ... And firstly, I even doubt it if will make 14 bhp at all.

So, I casually flip over Business Standard and I see RX100 picture. The news item is

            I am excited, no doubt.

But, not sure, it is justified. How much would a 100cc develop on 4-stroke platform? 7-8BHP? I would like it to be a 12-14BHP, liquid/oil cooled probably with on road price of 80k thereabouts. Will be a monster

Ok, by now I am sober. In all probablity this is Yamaha's bid for entry level segment and I guess if at launched won't be too different from Crux & the like in terms of performance.
Well friends i had already given information about the news nearly 2 months ago but no one took it seriously then. Here is the link to that -
Well if Honda can play the game in 100CC segment... ...................................
At the same time i had mentioned about new 150CC on commuting segment to be showcased at the auto expo (which is most likely SZ itself). Here is the link for that -
            Yamaha's press release

friend honestly speaking at present there is no information about the 250CC thing but considering what Mr. Tsuji had said that they want to capture 25% market share in premium segment then there has to be new launches in premium segment. And regarding RX 100 all i have heard is that they are testing it with FI.

If they bring back the original 2 stroker with direct injection technology(Orbital) in India to meet BS-IV/EURO-V(OK too much expecting!!!) - it is worth the Money IMHO.Many simply Miss Yamaha RX100/KB100 and other 2 strokers from 80s and 90s(including Me)

I just hope they do not fit it with a "regular" 100cc 4-stroke engine, just for the heck of it!
                              :)
