The classic RX styling might stand out among today's sporty bikes. But then a 100 cc (4 Stroke) engine won't do justice to the concept.

But a RX 200 (4 Stroke).. hmm.. it might just work.
yes a classic looking 4 stroke RX200 will be great. yes.. like ali requested, can we have some photoshop pics

Yamaha RX100 spares to make a comeback, not the bike! - Motoroids.com

guess this is what it was really all about...

I think I'm getting Yamaha's plan. They know RX rocks, so they might want to do it "all legally"...

Fitting a free flow silencer wasn't legal, SO they made it after market (for R15, with an ignored warning which says "Racetrack use only")

Similarly, selling an Rx100 might not be legal, but selling its entire range of spares surely is.. It might be possible for experienced guys to construct or restore RX100's, as good as new... Isn't it?

Maybe the RX era might come back for some of us, if not all... I hope.

saw this long back on 'yamaha japan' website..

they sell this 400cc single in japan.. a mini version of this would be interesting as a classic.. i wouldnt complain even if they bring it as it is..

            here is the link:-
            SR400 | yamaha japan

--- ok now off topic ---

I guess yamaha india releases such half baked statements to create some hype, same cheap tricks that some companies play.. my pov again..

Damm.. how did you read my mind..?? I had exactly the same thoughts about the RX100 coming as in similar lines as the (1978- and still in production) classic SR400..!!

Maybe a 200 cc, 4 stroke motor along with the classic styling would do justice to the RX brand in 2010.

i like... ( drool)... but homologation would be an issue.. What im thinking/feeling is that manufacturers are looking at something that just tips the 800cc mark, and can bring it in as a CBU, and sell... looking at what harley has done... 7 lakhs for a 883 cc bike...

Crux has now silently undergone a facelift now. Though there is not any major change, the design is set to be in par with the present trend.

To begin with, the Yamaha Crux is now equipped with a Multi Reflector Headlamp to ensure enhanced visibility to ride at night time. The fuel tank is facelifted with new graphic design making it classy than the older one. This is the most visible change out of all which differentiates from the earlier model. The fenders in front and rear are chrome tipped. This was of course, present in the previous model too. The rear shocks are adjustable too.

Please don't say this. It is like offending me. RX has it's own style look and characteristics such as power, color and offcourse beat which can only be matched of another RX.
