The toll charges were free only for the first day.. from tomorrow there will be charge.

Anyways relief for the commuters who comes from faraway places.

So finally a Thanks to Govt. of Karnataka to make this happen.

I read somewhere that, there would be no toll charges, until the toll booth's were setup, that would take some time according to me. may a month or so...

are 2 wheelers allowed on this elevated highway? On the Expressway in Hyd no 2 wheelers or autos are allowed. Also the cost seems to be very high compared to the hyd one

Any exit ramps in the middle or any plans for new ones in future

Hyd one is absolutely amazing esp for the airport traffic... with my frequent trips to Hyd... travel time has reduced by more than half an hour easily... and there is no toll in the elevated corridor for Hyd...

And yeah Hyd does not allow two wheelers or autos or commercial vehicles also!!! Its only for car traffic and bus traffic only...

I think the toll was 10rs for bikes and 30rs for cars ... it's toll free for the 1st week i believe after which the toll comes into effect .

Most importantly: Speed limit is 80
speed limit of 80 will most probably rule out 2 wheelers or rather should, what with no dedicated lane for them

Toll why are they trying to collect toll in the middle of the city. That area as such is very crowded. In Mumbai also the tolls they have near vashi , thane etc are a real pain. Unnecessary slowing down of traffic. The very benefit of flyover to save time is lost

Posted last night on the Blore Kadambam thread

Wow. Wow. Wow. Was on my way back from work (in EC) at around 11 PM when I realised that the perennially under construction flyover between EC and silkboard has finally been opened to the public today & whats more the toll booths arent operational yet ! Thought I would try it out today since Ive heard that they plan to charge 15 bucks for a bike one way and the incoming pay hikes arent going to be sufficient to pay for such a stiff toll.

Wow. Thats what was ringing through my head as I reached Silk board a few minutes later. The brilliant road, the lovely lighting, the bitter cold wind (my Nero did the best it could but Mother Natures is a b**ch) and a fresh out of service R15 combined to make an awesome experience. Wow. I just couldnt resist taking a U turn and heading back to EC. Double wow. So I headed back to Silk board and couldnt gather enough will to deny myself the satisfaction of another high speed run. So off I went again back to EC . Did a total of 4 1/2 such laps (80+ kms) before I noticed the low fuel warning and decided enough is enough.

Am sure the photography nuts will have a splendid time at nights there.

Edit : Just noticed the speed limit that has been mentioned as 80 kmph. Suffice to say I maybe, kinda, probably didnt stick to that ......

two wheelers-one way it's 10 bucks and monthly pass is also available for Rs360. For cars, the monthly pass is around Rs800 or 900...
