why with every update bajaj mainly focus on bhp ratings
why not focus on its handling and cornering abilities and also reliability(ok it has improved a lot from its first gen but why not improve to next level)

if its coming with p135 like chassis its ok
but its time for bajaj to come with mono shock setup

Hmmmm, two big playes in the market doing two important things but no use as they are only and only going in one direction none of them is looking at the other side like the bigger pulsars need a good frame and the Karizma ZMR can be star if it has like 22 bhp will match its size

Hero honda : Everyone knows that they should power pack the karizma with some more punch so that it can survive the competition , but instead HH launched ZMR which is indeed a very very nice machine but almost same power (Good handling looks but same old power)

Bajaj : Now bajaj has been providing power upgrades every now and then to almost all the models but in terms of looks apart from the 220 almost no drastic change except the P135. (decent handling good power but 4 year old chasis can be a better one Pulsar 220)

The point here is why cant we have a bike with good power like P220 F good handling like R15 including chasis and reliability and refinement like HH or honda!!!!!! what say guys

Moderators sorry for the OT but couldnt stop myself from sharing my thought

For that matter a 4 valve 220 cc engine would be amazing!!!!!

But, I was riding the RTR 180 and one lean on the fly-over told me what its chassis is made of. Chassis was great, (if only tyres could match it) and clearly better than all the Pulsars... (except 135 LS Maybe)

Fat Forks, and that circular swingarm really don't make a hell lot of difference.
Something in the chassis does need to change, to match up... Maybe a rear Monoshock+different chassis layout?

Yes, this news is indeed true. The bike is in the showrooms. It probably has a cc or two more with a marginal increase in bhp and clip-ons. Do verify at the showrooms about the other details.
The Wheel was a great invention; Two Wheels with a Motor in between was even better!

The new Pulsar 135LS is Light weight and has sharp handling.. but its an all new development with an all new chassis.

It shows that Bajaj can definitely do it to the other Pulsar variants as well. But for that, a newly developed chassis and would be required.
An all new chassis coupled with the 4 valve DTS-i set up..?? That would be sweet. But the question is when?

OT : A 4 valve 220cc block would be icing on the cake.

Are monoshocks beyond bajaj's capability? I simply don't understand why this adamant refusal to go monochocks, and that includes HH. I have plenty to rant about other manufacturers. But as this thread is speculation on new pulsar 150 let me rant a bit on Bajaj , I think its high time for Bajaj to introduce new chassis with monoshocks, oh yes, and rid of the tank. giving a small bump in bhp every now and then and adding a couple of switches/goodies with led lights etc. is becoming a drag.
I wouldn't care if they added GPS or food processor with latest internet technology. As long as THE BIKE (the frame/suspension/engine) remains unchanged, I don't see much to get excited. I would much rather they use exact same 150 engine/body panels/handlebars/gauges/switches/tank/tyres/rims etc. onto entire new chassis/suspension system than the other way round which Bajas seems to always do.

Dude, its official now. Engine change is there! Read below:-->

There's more news from the Bajaj stable. How about 2010 Pulsar 150cc?
The Pune based firm has tweaked the 150cc Pulsar a bit as it was getting overshadowed by the recently launched younger sibling Pulsar 135. The 2010 edition of the Pulsar 150 DTS-i UG-IV (fourth upgrade) can churn up a little more power of 15.06 Ps @ 9000 rpm and breathes through a bigger carburettor (UCD29). It also promises to feature a new intake system & new exhaust technology though externally it looks similar to the previous model. But the 2010 Pulsar 150 does sport clip-on handlebars to give it a more dynamic stance. Price at Rs 60,020 (ex-showroom Delhi) the new 150cc Bajaj will cost Rs 500 more than the current one.
Sadly, it doesn't mention a 4 valve head. The bigger Carb at Rs. 500 extra is worth it! Hope it doesn't kill mileage by much!

I wonder why they write "UpGrade VI". It is 5th upgrade, isn't it? (including the cosmetic upgrades)
