HONDA should have launced the STUNNER with UNI's engine, at the time of it's launch and should have stopped manufacturing UNICORN.
the unicorn & stunner are two different segment bikes. If the stunner is stopped then in the 125cc only shine will be left to face the competition. Even the customers would also wont have any choice in 125cc. Now as if the stunner would be launched in the 150cc with unicorn's engine then the price would be definetly higher due to the cowling ,etc. Now it was a very wise move by honda by not phasing out unicorn & launching the dazzler.

Unicorn:- For those people who want just a 150cc bike with a reliable honda engine & at a low cost.

Dazzler:- For those people who want a sporty 150cc bike at a little more cost than unicorn.

U can say that these are different variants of a bike like in the cars.

      I am dazzled...

is it just me or it really looks like Hunk (50% part of the rear) and whats that rear disc is doing there in a 14bhp machine???

anyway its a great looker and an upgrade was needed for the unicorn... i will suggest every "poser" frnd of mine for this bike if he is looking for a good 150cc bike...

p.s. I think Honda is superstitious about the name of its bikes... Start the bike's name with CB and End it with "er"... It will make the bike sell like hotcakes...
e.g. Stunner, Twister and Dazzler... ITS WORKING...

I liked only the digiconsole. Stunner is still the best looker from Honda stable in India.

I would like this new engine in Stunner frame.
        Hi Ravi,
Me too expecting the same from Honda, if this engine is fitted with stunner's skeleton, then surely it will give shakes to other manufactures in 150cc segment....

Lets pray bro, for getting a chance to upgrade our 125cc stunners to 150s

Dear Badboybiker, the rear disc in the bike is used to slow down and stop the vehicle, just in case if you are tad too confused. And lets not forget that bicycles, that dont have even 1BHP have front and rear discs, if you havent seen them by now.

Stop acting like a Mr. Fault Finder, appreciate the fact that now even a relatively slow moving vehicle can have better braking.

This is not a track oriented, or a thorough tourer ( guess one all-plastic bike by some big-wig was marketed as tourer in the recent past!!!), it is just a good commuter bike that can easily do a 500 + kms a day run without any snags. And the engine is much more relaxed, long lasting and silent than the other Performance oriented bikes.

I am not selling Hondas so I dont want to sound like one, but I think you have to ride this bike before calling it a bike for POSERS!!!!

          all cheers

The highly successful UNICORN doesn't have "er".

And regarding rear disc, I second DCS.

Whether 63k ex-showroom price includes rear disc or is it optional at extra cost

On first look at the photos this bike looks that its designed for touring purpose, its like suppose you wanna travel a 500 km distance in your own pace and relaxed where you can cruise comfortably at 90-100 km/h, giving a hasslefree ride all the way. This bike is designed for more mature persons like those who are in 35+ age bracket and who love touring and want something with reasonable power and naked looks.

this bike is gonna have a different class of people.

What's the problem with having a rear disc at the rear?

Rear disc brakes offer clear advantages of lesser effort in braking, lesser brake fade and almost zero maintenance (tightening & adjusting of brake play) compared to drum brakes.

Even if one uses the WRONG braking technique/habit of using the rear brake only for stopping, I still see disc brakes to be superior over drum brakes.

Rear disc on a Rs. 60-65K bike is a welcome feature.

For 70000 almost the bike is loaded with quality things no doubt, the rear is a nissin unit, quality is oozing out from every inch of the bike and it's having one of the best 150CC bulletproof engine (shared by the YAMMIE R15 of course).

And the rear disc should be made standard on bikes having a tag of more than 60K's, it looks good, provide brilliant stopping and requires very nil maintainance compared to the drum.

This bike WILL BE A HIT AND WILL SELL LIKE HOT CAKES NO DOUBT.

                    HONDA has another winner there.

                      • Had a test ride of the Dazzler today at the Auto Expo. The bike looks good. They have finally done a proper upgrade to Unicorn after about 6 years. It is targeted at the youth as said by the officials. The price tag of 63k ex-showroom will surely find many takers.

Average...Honda wants this bike to deliver 60kmpl.

Price, which is very important factor while making any purchase decision in India.

Btw from what I heard from sources this bike is going to replace Honda Megapro in Indonesia and the bike is developed keeping that market in mind. As of now it seems Honda is testing waters with this product in India and hence they didn't want to give it a all new name keeping it under the Uni family. If this bike succeeds then slowly slowly they might phase out the Uni and keep this one only and if this doesn't succeds then also it shouldn't give them that big a headache.

It will quite funny though if Dazzler succeds in India and fails in Indonesia

P.S: The above lines are purely my opinion.

P.P.S: I don't like the styling. Twister is anyday better than this.

I am ready to buy one of these Hot Cakes Honda you have a probable owner provided it impresses me in the Test Ride Both GS and Dazzler in View don't know which one will i go for.Though have heart for GS but Honda Engine Always is reliable that's what makes me think twice in taking a decision.

ps. agree to what MG said To me it looks like more of predecessor to the Twister in looks and from back Hunk. They could have done better job.

Now they made a bike Keeping in View Indonesia and not India that is a surprise every country wants to make Vehicle suitable to India due to its immense market i guess Jap's are different breed. So The win for a change in uni goes to Indonesia not India

                              • I personally don't find it a bad choice, at least for a normal rider like me.
From the photographs it seems there is a very little difference than the one shown in the Auto Expo '10.

And rear disc was much much necessary. And the Console is not bad at all.

@ MG: Twister has definitely a very good look following the CB series but I wish Dazzler to be little bulkier than it.
