Just came home after helping a friend in acquiring his Avvy 220. I've owned an 180 so the transition of the power mill from 180 to 220 is a nice change. My friend let me do the honors of firing up the new engine (i'm touched sniff
). I didnt feel much of a difference when it comes to ride quality except for the better pick up, owing to the bigger engine. But yes, an Avvy will always be the poor man's choice of a proper cruiser and i loved the way it glides over the tarmac.
There's one thing that came to my knowledge regarding the service schedule. The second service is now due between 4000 - 4500 km! Sure comes as a surprise to me.

So all in all I guess it'll be stupid to sell my P220 Dtsi for an Avenger ?
I'll start looking at Thunderbird
Ride Safe :)
Canon 5D Mark III + Canon 550D + Pulsar 220 Dtsi
What else do you need ?

Unlike most bike makers why is bajaj behaving more stupidous when (other bike manufacturers)make a cruiser using the engine from a street bike in their stable they tweak the engine so as to produce more torque and less power avy220 has lesser power than p220 but torque
so it cannot be considered a cruiser at all by heart(it.s engine) even though the looks show the rider comfort is good but the pillion comfort ?????also they could have made it more torquier so that it pulls well
