[QUOTE=dream horse;461436]man the pic makes me to think "this is a chinese bike...."

it doesn't look like the older versions.

yea even i feel the same. Its different. And when i say different, i mean, it looks bad than the older avy's.
Firstly, it was Eliminator, the most elegant looking cruiser, then came avenger 180/200 and the styling came down compared to eliminator and now this,220 avy, the looks seems further scaled down.
I just hope that its just the pic angles which is making it look that way and the actual product is same compared to the previous gen avengers.
Anyway, its good to see the only cruiser in india gets a bigger heart :-)

      hardly an upgrade !
why does it produce less power and torque at same RPMs ? is there any benefit of this detuning ?

How much do you think the P220 and A220 weight?
Peak Torque @ 7000RPM for both the bikes... ?

            3. The price is Rs.69930/- ex-showroom Delhi
            4. There are a host of upgrades in the bike like DC circuit, Dual density seating, Battery charge level indicator etc.
            5. There is no fuel injection

I dunno how many of you guys noticed.. The Chassis beam is actually blocking the engine oil glass window.. What's the point of it if you're gonna PEEK through the sides like an idiot in front of everyone..? Guess guys at bajaj aren't keen on ATTENTION TO DETAIL, in this "NEW" LAUNCH as well..

Well surya, I dont think its a part of the chassis/frame thats blocking the engine oil glass window. It looks more like the rear brake cable passing through there. Should be movable IMHO.

Most of us believe that power/ torque is measured by companies at crankshaft. If that's true, weight has nothing to do with it.
As mentioned by sunil ji, Avenger 220 has been tuned. We hope the tuning does bring some low end or mid range torque.

By the way, "Uttaran" in hindi, means someone else's ex-wife that you get married to. Or someone else's original thing that you get later on secondarily. This word is made famous after a Serial "Uttaran".
Bandhav ji means to convey that Avenger never got an engine of its own. Always its either Pulsar 180, 200 or 220's tuned engines that they plonk in.

Thanks for the defination, but then are you suggesting Bajaj tuned the bike to the same peak power output as p220, thich either mean nothing major changed, or theoritcally has lots of low end torque, yet generate max power in the same rpm. Which means it has a flatspot somewhere.
