man the pic makes me to think "this is a chinese bike...."

it doesn't look like the older versions....

if the fork tubes & engine is blacked out, with low profile tyre at rear & 100/80 at front as in the FZ will enhance look & it will be appreciable

this is no way good.......... wat is the top speed i will be happy if the bike touch's some 120kmph which will be a meaning full for the HP fig they quoted...........

          Or may be the FZ?

I would bet my money on this, if it had fresher styling it could have been a much better product than the 220S to take on the FZ!

Even if they have retained the older styling, the power increment, albeit a low one, augurs well.

I used the 200 Avenger for nearly a month. I liked it. I think that this is gonna be even better! But I hope that they have done something for the rear brakes.
The Wheel was a great invention; Two Wheels with a Motor in between was even better!

Common give it a chance, stop comparing it with the HDs you ride all the time! It has awesome wooden brakes!

They could've taken this opportunity and done something about the exhaust pipe/silencer/end can too. Something along the lines of an RE would've made the Avenger a real looker. True cruiser style.

I will say an opportunity wasted.

They should have done something about the styling, if nothing they could have atleast provided the alloys with tubeless tyres. Avenger don't get anything apart from the "Uttran" engine of other bikes, first 180, then 200 and now 220.

@Satyen: No, he very much mean the rear brake only, the Avg200's rear brake boost of no feel whatsoever.

I meant the rear brake felt like a sponge! They knew it. I am just saying that hopefully they have rectified it!

I dont think alloys (considering the idea was benefiting from economy of scale) would had made any sense... none of the existing bikes alloys could be retro fitted, and making new ones would not go with the retro image.

Heck, a spoked tubless would have been too much of an effort, a lot expensive but would have been an awesome upgrade that people wouldnt notice! (unless marketed well)

What did you mean from "uttran" engine? I didnt get the slang

                              Wish list,
                              - Better tyres... the zappers are slip happy
                              - A rear disc
                              - A new silencer... a la T-Bird or better the RE offroading types!
                              - A new Handle bar, this ones too boring!
                              - A meaner\retro headlamp assy
                              - Throw in a tacho if possible
                              - Stiffer front forks

BTW Someone said a larger "Oil Cooler" is it true?

Edit: yeah I know, I was joking that even the front suspension is spongy!

It's down on both power and torque. Strange way to tune an engine.
Peak torque at 7000 rpm is not really cruiser-ish.
