@varun-Once the date is finalized timing should not be a big issue I guess because all the outstation members should be available (hopefully) for the day as they will be on holiday. Being a weekend the 9th one can be kept during daytime while the 6th one in evening / night as most of the Delhi xBhpians will be free only by evening.

Good idea but for weekends like 9th the food joints inside Pragati Maidanwill be very very crowded.

Can someone please confirm when is the expo officialy open for the general public (we people)...?
The schedule says:
5th is Media Day
6th Official Opening Ceremony (Special Invitees)
7th onwards the usual business + general

So can we go on 6th with the Reg. ID generated online?

^^^ I/We have registered on their website wherein a form has to be filled and you are given a visitor pass with a number, guess thats your count number.
Still unsure if that pass is for 6th or free entry in business hrs on 7th... somebody please clarify.

9th seems to be a Good Day.

New cars and bikes in India at Delhi Auto Expo
New cars and bikes will be showcased at Delhi Auto Expo in January 2010. A good number of bikes and car makers already confirmed their participation in the show. It bike makers include Harley Davidson, Ducati, Honda, Suzuki, TVS, Bajaj and Mahindra.

Harley Davidson bikes in India:

The most-awaited bikes which would stun the bike lovers in India are Harley Davidson bikes in India. The expected bikes are Fatboy, Electra Glide, Dyna, Touring Sportster, Classic Heritage Softail and VRSC. The US based company, Harley Davidson, has already started promotional activities in India.

Ducati bikes in India:


1098cc Ducati Superbike

Ducati bikes already made its presence felt in India. The company opened its showroom in Mumbai recently. Ducati launched five new bikes in India- Ducati Monster S4RS Testastretta, 1098cc Ducati Superbike, Ducati Hypermotard 1100S, 1198cc Ducati Superbike 1098R and 848cc Ducati Superbike and the price of the bikes are Rs. 22.63 lakh, Rs. 25.61 lakh, Rs. 20.72 lakh, Rs. 48.03 lakh Rs. 21.77 lakh respectively. and All these bikes are expected to be displayed at Delhi Auto Expo in 2010.

Honda bikes in India:

Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India has announced its new product in two-wheeler segment and the bike is believed to be displayed in Auto Expo 2010. The bike is expected to be priced around Rs 48,000. The company has taken this decision after the great success of Bajaj Discover and 100cc bikes in India. However, the commercial launch will take place in March 2010. At present, Honda has not have any bike in this segment.

Suzuki bikes in India:

Suzuki two wheelers is also going to launch its 150cc bike in India and it is learnt that the new bike will be there for display in Auto Expo 2010. Apart from this bike, the company has also announced to launch a gearless scooter and a superbike in India.

TVS bikes in India:

The third largest two-wheeler, TVS Motor, has recently launched two products in India. It launched TVS Jive and TVS Wego in India. TVS Jive is the first clutchless bike in India while TVS Wego is the first gearless scooter by the company in India. Both the models might be showcased in the gala event-Delhi Auto Expo, 2010.

Bajaj KTM bikes in India:

Bajaj with collaboration of KTM bikes would launch KTM bikes in India very soon. The expected bikes from KTM stable are KTM Stunt 125cc and KTM Racer 125cc. The bikes would be launched in India with a couple of minor changes and it is hoped the bikes will be showcasing in Delhi Auto Expo. These KTM bikes 125cc mill belts out 15 horsepower, liquid cooled, FI, four valve heads and DOHC. The bikes possesses brembo brakes, WP shock absorbers and tubular steel lattice frames.

Yamaha bikes in India:

Yamaha India is also planning to introduce its new products in the upcoming Auto Expo in 2010. These new products include three scooters named as Yamaha Neo 50cc, Yamaha Fino 115cc and Yamaha Spark 135cc. All the three scooters of Yamaha are very popular in Thailand. Popular bikes of Yamaha are: Yamaha Fazer, Yamaha FZS and Yamaha FZ 16.

Mahindra bikes in India:

Mahindra Two Wheelers is also planning to launch its first bike in India christened Mahindra SYM Cevalo 125cc. The company will foray in India by 2010. It is also reported that the bike will mark its presence in Delhi Auto Expo 2010. Mahindra, at present, has three products in its portfolio- Mahindra Flyte, Mahindra Rodeo and Mahindra Duro.

Upcoming Cars in India at Auto Expo:


Volkswagen Beetle

The show will house new cars from domestic and international auto companies such as Mahindra and Mahindra, Tata Motors, Ashok Leyland, Reva, Maruti Suzuki, Skoda, Renault, Volkswagen, Ford, BMW, Hyundai, General Motors, Honda, Toyota and Mercedes Benz. The new vehicles from these auto companies include Toyata Prius, Fiat Linea T-Jet, Maruti Kizashi, Tata Xover, Volkswagen Beetle, Volkswagen Polo and Volkswagen Touareg. Other cars include Hyundai Santa Fe, Chevrolet Beat, Skoda Yeti, Tata Indicruz and Ford Figo. All these four wheelers will be displayed at Auto Expo 2010. Volkswagen Beetle and Volkswagen Touareg will be launched on 4 th December 2009.
