  • The Auto Expo is over. The memories are still fresh and will remain so for a very long time. I would like to use this space to thank all the members who came to the stall and added to the buzz.
    Thanks to the members who came and manned the stalls;

    1. Augusta, who helped in putting up the stall, physically carrying the pamphlets and the books, he was exhausted after that, putting up the stall and manning it for 3 days.

    2. Mohit, who came on the 6th

    3. Ryderrock who helped us on the 11th.

    4. Kunjal who helped us manning the stalls on 3 occasions.

    5. Ashu an old member, not very regular but an important asset for xBhp on all major events who came and manned the stall on the 7th.

    6. Dipankar who came on the 4th, 5th, 7th and the 9th. Amazing guy this fellow, a great help and a big hit with the kids.

    7. A HUGE mention of the help extended by Sherry (Mandhir) who came on ALL days except on the 5th. The help and enthusiasm showed by this young man is commendable.

    8. Aryan who accompanied and helped me in the major shoots and releases and the media meets on the 4th and the 5th.

    9. Mr. Roger, (Puneet bhai), who got the pamphlets printed, arranged for the GIR books, coordinated the arrangement of the Flex, the AV setup, got the bike and the tyres for display at the stall, helped in putting up the stall on the 4th till 11 in the night, manned the stall on 5 days and helped in taking back the tyres, the bike and dismantling the stall as well.

    10. Old Fox, who got the posters printed and graced the stall with his regal presence and knowledge on a couple of occasions despite having a packed schedule back at office and home.

    11. MG Biker, who got the T-shirts printed, came all the way from Satara, helped out from the afternoon of the 5th, 6th, 8th, 9th and the 10th, an invaluable person whose contribution to xBhp is amazing.

    12. And finally Sunny, who made this all happen with remote control, orchestrated the entire Auto Expo from long distance with the experience of an old hand and the precision of an Opera director.

Please forgive me if I forget someone. Thanks to all for making this happen. You guys rock. I am proud of all the guys who made this happen. You are special people. Let us all take it to the next one and make it better.

And finally but very importantly, let us not forget to also thank the main organisers, CII and our principal supporters, Castrol and CEAT.

So if we are the "celeb" then we all know who the "celeb makers" are. We might, again, "might" have been the face of XBHP at the stall but the producers the directors & the fellow crew members were all behind us with their rock solid support. Thanks, Roger Bhai.

very very afresh actually. Even last Sunday I happened to visit Pragati Maidan metro station, it just felt so so good. Like the stall was still there, the crowd was still jostling for space, the bikes the cars & ofcourse, the eye candies

Thanks to everyone you mentioned & Thanks to YOU TOO !

Whatever you say but yours and Sherry's effort was for everyone to see so I agree with what Roger said.

All Right Ken, I forgive you, if you really want me to.

But on a serious note, it was heart warming to see so many people putting their best foot forward to make this Auto Expo a grand Success. I am deeply impressed to see how committed are we all to the Family.

            • This comes as a much needed and a more than ever deserved appreciation of the efforts put in by some of the gems of xBhp. It may have looked somewhat chaotic while things were hot and going but there were all the elements of a well planned and executed show put up by xBhp at the expo. Right from Ken's co-ordination, Aryan's support, Puneet's tireless legwork, MG's presence and the touchingly selfless physical effort put in by Dipankar, Sherry, Kunjal, Augusta, Ashu, Ryderrock, Mohit and innumerable others who came in to visit the stall, stayed a while helping with this n that.

              Regal presence!!!

I was eventually just a wall-flower Ken. Was stuck with things in my professional life that I couldn't get out of and so my contribution is rather minuscule. I did manage to show up 3-4 times but there was nothing 'indispensable' in my share of the work-load. The real credit goes to the ones we've seen manning battle-stations all through.

And Sunny of course has again proven his ability as a multi-tasker, this once on a global scale. His 'setting-up' for the Expo (mailing in the pictures, videos, full details of people and processes involved, arranging what he could from there through mail and phone) was faultless and had the mark of the 'Convener' all over. And all this despite planning and executing a three-week long ride in a country at the other end of the globe.

All is great when it ends so well. I suggest we have a celebratory get-together, both for a job well done and as appreciation for those who've made it all possible and happen.

              • But then the kit/ silencer won't pass the emission norms for road use. That's why, it's all limited to race tracks...

And the legend has spoken, finally A Mother of Mega G2G would be just about the thing what we all, specially Delhi XBHPian want. Truly But it would be nice if this can be arranged if Sunny happens to be in India at that time.

                  Sir,
your inputs (remember the points you sent us !!! Well, I was actually speaking your words but with "performance modification" ) were always inestimable
                  Thx, once again !

                        • Ken and OF have given me too much credit, I just to what I have loved to since 6 years now, me being in Delhi or not, the heart is still there. In fact this is a classic case of the whole being greater than the sum of its parts. We cannot even begin to account for everyones wishes, members who turned up at the stall, wished us online etc. In fact its been a kind of G2G s-t-r-e-t-c-h-e-d over a week at the xBhp stall. I missed it no ends.

The suggestion from OF to have a celeberatory G2G is excellent, an oppourtunity to crib , rant and appreciate some of the stuff showcased at the expo this year under the shades of the trees at the dhabha on a cold morning.

                              • THANK YOU everyone for such nice words. Deeply touched.

But the credit for the success of the Auto-Expo cannot be given to one or two individuals. It was a team effort and this is just the right success that is acheived by the team work.

And a mega G2G in the name of the success of Auto-Expo sounds real good. I'm in for this Sunday.

Note: Will be uploading my share of pics from tomorrow onwards.
