Well this thread is about the Yamaha Stand at the Auto Expo 2010, and not about comparo and subsequent High Flying English War Zone....it would be very helpfull if the readers could share their experiences and thought about the Yamaha Stand and the Bikes "Over There". Space is very precious and let's not waist it!!Originally posted by The beast rider View Post

IMO The best way to see the expo is online , there is no need to be a part of the madness. I have a few pics from the expo , will share soon.sigpicThe Moto Cafe - India's first bike theme cafe @ Chandni Chowk

Last time, I checked, xbhp was a free forum. One just has to have an internet connection available at Rs. 20/- for an hour.Space is very precious and let's not waist it!!
ZMA, ZMR, FZ, P-...... and what not, are dressed up models only for many people in this country.
Of course, for some, it is a way of satisfying recently acquired passion for bikes. It is completely subjective.
Point is: R-15 can be a much more potent bike with a bigger engine (for its intended audience) but with the same level of technology and cycle parts and at a reasonable price. The only casualty will be FE.
Was there any recent threat of a Maha-tsunami in the pacific ocean on the TV, which I missed?I wish Yamaha India manufactures Vmax in India................rest assured India will have Vmax as learners bike then
.........I am the first to go for it.

Hmmm..... I see you missed the whole point there.....!! It's not about the what an individual pays to enjoy the benefits of this forum.... it's the whole work that goes behind maintaining this forum and make it the sucess that this forum..... so, I won't get off topic here, but yeah... I would again like to emphasis my point that .... instead of resorting to verbal off topic exchange we should respect the wonderfull privilege this forum offers and stick to a discussion this thread is up for!!Originally posted by Technician View PostLast time, I checked, xbhp was a free forum. And for your "Recent Aquired Passion for Bikes" comment.... well bro .... thoughts are one thing sleakest occurence of Human Nature and we should be very carefull as to how to express our thoughts in words and not to hurt anybody!! So, brother let's not resort to such statements and unnecerarily create OT posts.

if TVS guys can read this.....
i've one request to TVS guys, stop making bikes in the segments with seperates each one by mere 20cc's , dont go after the trend BAJAJ started, 160,180,200,220...i mean what the Fcuk....
why not have segments-160 and 250 that's it, jump in the 20cc's and 1.5ps gives nothing and still they invest bucks in the R&D to improvise on the "new" bikes having just 20cc's more and them brim it with gizmo'sklike ABS and all....
please guys launch a proper "bike" with 250 cc's and load it up with your ABS,MONOSHOCK,LIQUID COOLING and stop imitating the segments created by BAJAJ...
what these manufacturers end with, launching 4 bikes with same shape seperated by 20cc's and broad tyres....(BAJAJ pulsar series)The Magician"

bump the flame to 150CC -160CC its another product altogether! chuck the 200, head for 220+ and you have a winner in your hand!

Absolutely!! I feel this almost all the India bike manufacturers..... somehow they always pull their hands at the very last moment which denies their products from getting that perfect machine status!!Originally posted by wamsey View Post^^ So true. Increment like +50CC. Or follow RE (350, 500).
For example say, take current Apache RTR series.... Amazing Brakes (well the only Indian bike currently available with Petal Discs), Amazing Handling, Amazing Performance figures, but what pulls it back are the Vibration levels of the bike.
Common, complement the bike with the Suspension and Chasis it deservs and with Proper Engine Upgradation and Refinements, Apaches would definitely be a awesome range!!

I thought Apache would give close fight to Pulsars considering it looks and performance, when it was launched. But down the line, it somehow got its leg tied up (or its tires !) and now resting in Pulsar shadow. I wouldn't want to compare them or bring up Pulsar Vs apache fights (again !). Mono shocks, well deserved chassis would have eliminated most of its niggles and its competitors would be running for their money now.| Only a Biker knows why a dog sticks his head out of a car window |

But, an Expo like this NEEDS to be experienced "live"! There is NO-WAY in world you can experience an Auto Expo sitting at the comfort of a room, staring at the photographs on a computer monitor.Originally posted by niks_devil666 View PostIMO The best way to see the expo is online , there is no need to be a part of the madness. Dude, this is an auto expo thread, I already made the mistake of answering to one pointless post. Not again. You are welcome to your opinion anyways.Originally posted by Shanz View PostWhat are u talking about?
R15 not even matching R125 standard's?
Seriously, i read it right?
what standard's we're talking about, LOOK's, Styling or anything which peppers the eye?
if its the looks depot. then I hav nothing to say because people fail to understand that at 1.1 Lakh rupee you can-not juice all those look guddie's which alonr cost huge buck's!
Dude, visit the R15 ownership thread for once, pages and ethic's had been written there on the fact that R125 had been created only due to 125cc Initial rider rectriction in developed countrie's plus a 125cc not-so-punk engine!!
so it's useless to compare a "looking-hot, working-not 125cc" vs a "Racing replica" and if we're talking about CBR150 vs R15, lets get a On road review's if ewer the former come's here rather than speculating and cribbing!
On one hand we talk about made for India product and on other hand we crib the same product comparing it with something which never saw India daylight?
CBR150 was made-not for India, rather it was made for those who have money in hand much to buy R1's or Fireblade's but are restricted to 150cc's ddue to the age limit,so companie's did their best to provide ttat Superbike feel under that puny chasis charging anyrhing and everything from customer's, but R15 is a diffrent case, it had been made to taste like a Premium Indian bike which can dust any Indian bike plus churn's 40-45 kmpl, why? because we're mileage freak Indian. And Yes! i am not talking about Vixion's here..
what it takes to make this same bike 22-25 Bhp's, Shove some Asthetically pleasing look's and give it a price tag of 2lAKH'S, would we still buy it?
No? So it's okay to compare but not at injustifiable rate's.

YES!!!! you are wrong..Are you aware of the engine specs even??? R15 is generations ahead of T135...Even if you would have said Yamaha Vixion i would have understood..It's as much derived from T135 as ZMR engine from splendor's...Hmmm bikes are derived from bicycles huh?? true but irrelevant.
