          • Money is money ,right? it doesn't matter whether its indian or jap .Simply because a bike is indian doesn't make it an automatic choice .Indian co's wont be giving it for a discount.
What i was lamenting about is the lack of bang for the buck,if the ninjette was ,say an 60 bhp screamer we wouldnt even be talking about it here ,would we?
If the duty structure wasn't there for higher capacity bikes .Then for 3.25 lakhs a guy could have bought an used ninja zx600rr/r6/cbr600rr/gsxr600 for the price.Got what i mean?
Even yamaha has taken a careful route by making the r15 just a 17 bhp bike.It doesn't do justice to the technology inside it or to the brand. That's the reason why most of the guys are still hanging on to their old bikes and are waiting for a better" bang for the buck"bike and yes i do know it might be an loooong wait.

            • it was an amazing G2G...i spent whole day at autoexpo and then on met fellow members at xbhp stall...ken da, devil, kunjal, sikh biker, jasmeet, jaspreet, rx, aseem and many more...
at sharp 5 we were at gate number 7 but no one was there then met one guy, then came 2 more and then ravi bhai LP soon we were like a healthy group of 10-11 bikers...we waited for fellow members at petrol pump...but as the PCR and tow truck arrived we left that place and headed towards dhaba...we reached dhaba at 5:58...join there by BI, max, rocker, lp, DD and other senior members but again i missed the action as i belong to rewari, i left dhaba at 6:30 sharp to reach home on time. all n all what ever the time i spent there was golden time...

              • Cb150r

Honda CB150R is a good bike in terms of performance. It has a very strong power at low and mid-range, which is missing in our R15's.

So, definitely CB150 R can definitely take over the R15 in terms of performance alone......

But, the handling part. it cannot stand against R15, thanks for the brilliant delta box frame. Also, lookwise, CB150R cannot stand next to R15........R15 scores greatly in this regards, when compared to present CB150R.

Anyways, if Honda is gonna come up with CB150R with a slight modifications in looks department, definitely it will be a big hit in our market...

Are you sure about this part? I read that the stock CBR's were beating race-prepped R15's times at some races in Chennai or Coimbatore...forgot which. I think the handling would be as good, if not better. But not definite on this.

Eh... Dude, The CBR 150 borrows most of its tech from the CBR family unlike the R15 which has absolutely nothing to do with the R series barring the chassis. With the dohc race ready motor, a stock cbr can smoke the r15. Even on the handeling front, it can outmatch the r15 with a good rider onboard. There is just no comparision. The R15 isnt even up to R125 standards let alone the CBR 150.

I was mesmerised by Down To Earth nature of all the members over there. Saw the glimpse of the Coffee Table Book again today. Saw Ken da first time over there.....and i was lucky enough to talk to the other members as well. they shared there real experiences....nd was ready to shoot a tip as well...whenever i asked them for...Discussed with them there plans for Leh-Ladakh trip, i was amazed the way they were sharing there real experinces....and other interesting information about the religion called biking. you guys might not believe but when i came of out of the expo and the the joy of meeting xBhp members faded down...i realized that i haven't taken the single pic of the stall....with any of the members....how foolish i am!!!! It was the charisma of the community called xBhp which has taken all the attention and i couldn't even remember to take the pic. i would love to visit again, on sunday but only if the time allows, but it was wonderfull being there, and getting the real taste of what xBhp really is. Way to go guys....keep it up.
@ Rx : i remember u were busy with your wonderful cam (with do not disturb tag as well :P). if you have taken any pic when i was there...do post it here. (u must be thinking, how wud u recognize me, i knw foolish to ask u for this :P )

But guys how can i forget to click the pics over there....that is why i call myself...tourer and not the man in hurry.... I was enjoying my ride on the tracks of xBhp .

After the fair there was a official meet was there at the starting point (decided was gate number 7 ) but because of heavy traffic mite be, found all of them at the petrol station, ready to go for the official meet at saket.

There i waved my good bye to xBhp for today as i had the long day ahead.

Kudos to xBhp!!! Way to Go Guys.....Take me Along!! :P

Now the mistake of not taking pics of the stall and fellow riders is not pinching me, and moreover i would not be able to capture the beauty you had done. Thanks for sharing these all pics...

                            What are u talking about?
                            R15 not even matching R125 standard's?
                            Seriously, i read it right?
what standard's we're talking about, LOOK's, Styling or anything which peppers the eye?
if its the looks depot. then I hav nothing to say because people fail to understand that at 1.1 Lakh rupee you can-not juice all those look guddie's which alonr cost huge buck's!
Dude, visit the R15 ownership thread for once, pages and ethic's had been written there on the fact that R125 had been created only due to 125cc Initial rider rectriction in developed countrie's plus a 125cc not-so-punk engine!!
so it's useless to compare a "looking-hot, working-not 125cc" vs a "Racing replica" and if we're talking about CBR150 vs R15, lets get a On road review's if ewer the former come's here rather than speculating and cribbing!
On one hand we talk about made for India product and on other hand we crib the same product comparing it with something which never saw India daylight?
CBR150 was made-not for India, rather it was made for those who have money in hand much to buy R1's or Fireblade's but are restricted to 150cc's ddue to the age limit,so companie's did their best to provide ttat Superbike feel under that puny chasis charging anyrhing and everything from customer's, but R15 is a diffrent case, it had been made to taste like a Premium Indian bike which can dust any Indian bike plus churn's 40-45 kmpl, why? because we're mileage freak Indian. And Yes! i am not talking about Vixion's here..
what it takes to make this same bike 22-25 Bhp's, Shove some Asthetically pleasing look's and give it a price tag of 2lAKH'S, would we still buy it?
No? So it's okay to compare but not at injustifiable rate's.

Wooden tyres sure, looks like you read the article from MCN well, u know the theory man well even a noob can make out that they are speaking relatively. in the indian context they are pretty damn good. And atleast like the r15 the ninja doesn't get unnerved with the slightest hint of crosswinds. M sure you are also aware that the performance oriented r15 is derived from T135 which is a step thru which is used to ferry kids from school and buy fish from the nearest market. Correct me if am wrong. stop being a fanboy, like a bike for its abilities not the brand. just so u know yamaha is known to make much better bikes overall but they aren't half as hardcore bikes as kwackers barring maybe the 98 and 99 r1.

I noe r15 gives a much better bang for the buck vis-a-vis the nijette but doesn't the same equation make the 220 the best bike on the roads. had the r15 not come we still would have been stuck with the wonderful pulsars and apaches which we sooo love, don't we?

i don't mean to have an argument just disgusted by illogical brand loyalty. PEACE
Firstly your "disgust " and your caustic comments shows that you definitely are a Kwaker fanboy..
Secondly did i ever say R15 isn't a learners bike....yes you are right "both" are learner's bike. In fact the point which i wanted to make was ..let me rephrase" IF YOU WANT AN UPGRADE WAIT FOR A BETTER OPTION NINJA 250 ISN't WORTH IT"... Do you understand this time arround??

And what do you mean by "Indian context". Do you think Indians deserve substandard products?? We are the largest consumer of bikes in the world...our Super bike sale figures are so impressive that we are the HOT bed for their market now. People over here have the capacity and the mentality to pay 2 times the price to get these niche products.....If you think contrary..Go back to your cave.

Your statement "just so u know yamaha is known to make much better bikes overall but they aren't half as hardcore bikes as kwackers barring maybe the 98 and 99 r1" Just wanna say HAHAhahahahahahahaha...

"T135"...YES!!!! you are wrong..Are you aware of the engine specs even??? R15 is generations ahead of T135...Even if you would have said Yamaha Vixion i would have understood..It's as much derived from T135 as ZMR engine from splendor's...Hmmm bikes are derived from bicycles huh?? true but irrelevant.

I am not being loyal to Yamaha; just saying that they have a better offering right now....Kapeesh ??

                                PEACE OUT
