^^^that's also true...RTRs are known to be unreliable at times and with the racing kits and all,I don't know what will go for a toss...That said,I think they would have taken enough care to avoid all this as much as possible... Will they launch it as promised is the million dollar question here...It all begins with a thumb-start -- Oh, wait, I forgot the kill-switch

Well..What he said was that it'll boost the power output by 7bhp!..24Bhp does sound too much and with 2-valves and air-cooled ..I doubt of its reliability!Originally posted by Joel View PostIf only TVS can themselves put down 24bhp with that 2-valve head at the race track atleast, it will be something astonishing. Let alone them giving it to public with street reliability.
Its a joke. Why do you think TVS themselves are not using that 2-valve set-up on their own race bikes? If you ride like there's no tomorrow...worry not there won't be!

The 2-valve engine has a limit unless you are doing something truly radical to boost power to their claimed 24bhp. Even if they did, reliability will not be street friendly.
The performance kit for the RTR is almost history now.sigpic

Yeah 24bhp is just too much to be extracted from a 180cc motor.Keeping in mind the figures obtained by the 160cc PRO-Kit(18,5bhp), expect the 180cc Kit to churn out close to 20PS.Originally posted by Joel View PostThe 2-valve engine has a limit unless you are doing something truly radical to boost power to their claimed 24bhp. And about the radical thing, they are resorting to 3 valves, i think.
