I had read/watched reviews for this bike -
2009 Aprilia RS125 First Ride - Aprilia Sportbike Motorcycle Review - Motorcycle USA -- read 2nd paragraph and last section

there are several vid reviews on youtube suggesting the same.

        • The cutaway engine design is of the 350cc Thunderbird UCE engine and not the CL500. The Classic 350 and 500 use Fi if I am not mistaken...this image sports a carburetor.

The Classic 500 get Fi, even in India.
But the classic 350 still hasn't got the Fi tech and is still carb.

              • The post mortem begins though AE 2010 is not over yet.

Yamaha has concealed the real things for which enthusiasts were waiting.

The SZ concept may be 115+ /detune 125 cc bike ready for new 110 Honda, etc. See the difference between its engine/ Carb and those of 106 cc engine.

dude i clearly remember reading overdrive after a few months of r15 launch that r15 was giving a tough time to tvs and it was a league ahead...

                    • I am also waiting for the last 5 years, albeit from other manufacturers.

I don't believe that R-15 and FZ were the last new bikes from Yamaha.

The new emission norms will result in some necessary changes even in R-15 and FZ series. Let us see what happens. The thing is whether their new initiative will be in 200 cc + category or not?

Remember, Maruti couldn't continue old 800 cc and 1.1 ltr. engine for its 2010 models.

Also, the new norms will result in Bajaj making some changes in P 150 and P 180 to conform to new emission norms. Whether Bajaj would directly simultaneously employ 4-valve tech to bigger bikes in April 2010 or first release new norms-ready P 150 and P 180 now and then employ 4-valve tech on them in the near future, is to be guessed right now. But something will happen because in 2011 their KTM engines should also be ready.

But the wait is getting really too long.

                        • the second pic seems like the electra UCE. must say the UCE is a welcome change though it makes me sadly nostalgic at the thought of the CI leaving. even the lean-burn. so only UCE's on all models now. i am sure t-bird 500 is following soon.

                              • the yamaha showroom guy here (chennai) said yamaha has no plans of introducing higher segment bikes as yet cause they are still focusing on volume rather than being a high end sport bike brand.
