With a healthy 18ps power, you cannot just underestimate the Honda engine. Torque is not always a decisive factor for good performance. Let the test results come out and we compare it headon with R15. And the specs of Indian CBR150R is not yet out; we can't rule out rework of torque and power outputs by Honda engineers in Indian edition. I am sure they will make sure performance of CBR150R will compete with R15.Originally posted by vrugonnab View Post80% powerful as 250R?? where did you get that number from
it's about 18 ps and torque is less when compared to R15.. also R15 produces both torque & power at relatively lower rpms. I guess we have enough of faired bikes now for show-off.. naked bikes are much more practical for our cities on any day. But, yeah I think ZMR will now die a slow death or it will get CBR250 engine.
And, you may be tired of full-fairing and prefer a streeghtfighter/naked version, but there are a lot who like full fairing. If everybody gets bored of full fairing, we wouldn't have seen the fireblade and R1s on the streets now.HH Karizma (Current) || CBF Stunner PGM-FI || Honda CB Unicorn Dazzler

Rarely have I seen a R1 or Fireblade on our Indian roads (even on our highways).. no honestly..Originally posted by ravi@17bhp View PostIf everybody gets bored of full fairing, we wouldn't have seen the fireblade and R1s on the streets now.
..all I get to see is ZMR's, R15's, CBR250R and the occassional Ninja250R's.. and of course the Nakeds (commuters/commuter sports et. al).

The Torque figure is correct.. the blogs bloated up the peak power figure (Aaj Tak/India TV ishtyle).Originally posted by Janesh.J View PostSo bro, i am sure the 12.54 Nm figure would also not make sense.

The VESPA is here !!!
New Delhi, Jan 6:
Three-wheeler manufacturer Piaggio Vehicles re-entered the scooter segment by introducing its Vespa model at the 11th Auto Expo here today. “We would like to leverage this feasible untapped market segment that shows tremendous potential for growth in the coming years,” Piaggio Vehicles CMD, Mr Ravi Chopra, said. Piaggio India has already set up a manufacturing facility at Baramati in Maharashtra for the production of the scooter with an initial capacity of 1,50,000 units. “We will ramp up the capacity to 3,00,000 units as the demand increases,” Mr Chopra added. The scooter will be launched in the country in April 2012 and would be available in 35 cities across the country. In September, Mr Chopra had said that the company was looking to sell the scooter mainly in the domestic market. Piaggio Vehicles Pvt Ltd, Indian arm of the Italian firm Piaggio, has 50 dealers.
