Re: Bajaj unveils Pulsar CS400 and SS400
My friend owns an R15 and poor me, I own an activa as of now. I live in Faridabad, acc. To me Honda has pretty good for After Sales Service.
I got a DEFECTIVE Honda Actuva on 1st april 2012(ya it was April fool's day) from the first day itself , it wouldn't start , I visited service centre each n every weekend(literally) upto june and tadaa, finally the problem was sorted out. The carburator and the starting motor were replaced. During this time, ASC guys were very very very very patient , concerned, worried and helpful. Inspite of me and my dad getting angry at them and shouting at them(obviously , afterbuying a brand new vehicle , you don't want to spend your weekend at workshop b/w dust , smell and poor jokes of mechanics) they helped us a lot. And regarding yamaha, sir to be very frank, greenautomobiles here is
Very helpful' once me n my friend were going to tuition and suddenly he realised that something is wrong with the brakes as front brakes wre not working ( its haryana, some guys are really jealous of your nice stuff) we somehiw reached there and told the service guy the whole story, he asked the mechanic to help us out immediately. Mechanic brought some tools and some parts fitted them and gave us the bill(can't remember how much, but was more than what we had). It took 30-45 minutes. Didn't enquire much about the issue as I was doing something else, but for sure, experience was much better than bajaj. I am not a bajaj hater, in fact I like p220 and p200NS but I just didn't like the atmosphere and the personnel i met.
OT-Hushsh..... It took a while to write it.

Re: Bajaj unveils Pulsar CS400 and SS400
While everyone is on the topic of ASC, even i agree that all 2 wheeler service centers in all cities are crap. I have observed that sometimes good skilled mechanics are found in a few of them, but they realize their worth, and due to the low wages in ASC, they leave and open their own garage. So, essentially all the mechanics in ASC are either dumb/new ones, or old frustrated and unskilled ones.
BTW i used to take some motorcycles to "castrol bike zone" in Pune around 2008-09. It was the best service center for any kind of 2 wheeler as far as i had seen. The mechanics and supervisors had immense knowledge regarding everything. What do you all think about it? And i can see from their site, they are functional in only few metro cities. Why are they not able to expand to all the cities??

Re: AE14: Bajaj Pulsar CS400 and SS400
So guys, I wanna confess. !
.I was the one who was criticizing bajaj for it's quality. Today I actually rode a 200 ns and experience was just thrilling. The quality has improved alot than it was before. And I just can't control my excitement and happiness. I was so overjoyed and happy that i kept on riding it and finally my friend had to push me to get his bike back. The build quality was better than many commuters from honda and the bike is excellent . now no second thoughts, i am buying this pulsars 400ss anyways.

No, AFAIK, it is NOT a concept.Originally posted by AmitRavi07 View PostComing to CS400, it is still a concept bike and in all probability won't be launched this year. Yeah, I know, it sucks. It looks kind of mixture of ducati diavel, and 200ns, but gorgeous just the same.
BTW, Here is a link :-) Closer Look: Pulsar CS400 StreetfighterYou have heard of me, But you don't know me. You know what I'am, not what I've gone through

Rakesh Rok and payeng : Guys, guys, guys.. First of all i was just commenting on the spare parts quality of Bajaj and nothing else. And yes I have ridden the 200NS a lot and myself own a KTM Duke 200 so I know what I am writing. Bajaj is definitely improving and their VFM proposition is simply amazing that no other manufacturer can match..The amount of technology they offer for the price is simply laudable.
However, one area on which they can improve is the spare parts quality so that they can earn the same kind of reliable manufacturer tag that Honda,Yamaha possess. and if you read my comment completely..you will find that I have said that if Bajaj takes care of this minor issue of spare part quality, there is no stopping them.
P.S: I am not a Bajaj hater.
Peace!
The way you ride is the way you are..

Re: AE14: Bajaj Pulsar CS400 and SS400
Respect to Bajaj. My first and only bike was a Bajaj Pulsar 150cc and I never had any issues either with the servicing or with the bike. Maybe I loved my bike too much to notice the niggles. I never liked the KTM Duke as I found it ugly. Looks matter to me and I really do not care if somebody accelerates a wee bit faster than I do. In India it does not matter too much I guess. My next bike is in probability going to be a naked and a Bajaj
