    Yamaha has showcased MT-09 at the Auto Expo.

    The Auto Expo 2016 saw the Yamaha MT09 Launched at 1020000/- Ex-Showroom Delhi.


    Yamaha India launched the Roadster Motard - Yamaha MT09. This was subsequent to yesterday's launch of the Yamaha Cygnus Ray-ZR. The MT09 has been planned and developed as the flagship model of the MT series and is priced at Rs 1020000/- Ex-Showroom Delhi. It will be available at select Yamaha Dealers.


    The MT-09 has a 847cc, liquid cooled, 4-stroke, in-line triple-cylinder, fuel-injected engine with ABS. Yamaha has targeted the youth who are looking for excitement, power and style!


    Features-
    1. Strong and light
    2. Compact engine
    3. Long Suspension stroke for excellent road holding in all conditions
    4. ABS
    5. Fuel efficiency of 19kmpl


    The bike will be brought as a CBU (Completely Built Unit).

      WHAT??!! Thats a surprise, wheres the MT03? Bought as CBU? Now I see why the price is so damn high.

        Impatiently waiting for the MT-03 announcement since yesterday. I don't understand the delay in this! I have seen multiple sources confirm this in past few days, but Yamaha hasn't announced it yet?

              MT-03 has so much potential, would probably be the cheapest twin, 300cc bike in India.
              But if they don't release it then I'm going to cry in a corner, then goto nearest Benelli showroom to have a look at Tornado300.

                So far a disappointing auto expo for me. Nothing I expected were launched. Again left with no choice. :/

                    They should have gone the Bajaj way. Why waste 5~10 crs for displaying scooters and 100cc bikes then jump to 10L+ bikes.

                    They all together skipped the midrange of bikes.

                      MT 07 would have made better sense. At 10.2 lakhs, there are lot of other options in that price range with better electronics package. MT 03 not been launched is surprising.

                        I was thinking in the same line,why not MT03. Also MT07 instead of MT09,then again it's a multi national company they always have reason behind everything.
                        There's a light at each end of this tunnel you shout cause you're just as far in as you'll ever be out.

                          Demand for the R3 or the lack of it would have influenced Yamaha's decision to launch the MT3. While the MT15 would eat into sales of the successful FZ-s. Didn't make economic sense for the company probably!

                            Yamaha's stupidity at its finest. There is a reason why R3 wasnt successful. And we have R15, but we dont see R15 eating away into Fazer's sales then why would MT15 eat away into FZ's sales?

                              Could you please enlighten me with the reason behind the R3's failure. I know one thing that yamaha didn't even try to advertise it properly.

                              R15 is fully faired performance bike while the fazer is not anything like that. Logically, the MT15 might affect the sales of R15. It's just naked vs fairing.
