@Sunny.. Bro, you are fantastic! The serene locales get the justice only through your photographs. My favourite is clearly the one with lots of hair raising hair-pins!!

@Anurag sir... Once again a superb log there! You with your words and Sunny with his weapon make a great combination!
If you can recall, you made a statement about the villages in Europe. Same thought passed through my mind the moment I read your trip log of Day 1. They, for no reason can be called 'Villages'!!
Thanks Makky, I feel happy and encouraged to do better. I try to keep it simple and try to keep the flavor of a travelogue instead of making it too complicated. I write it like that because I feel that it should capture all the important moments and reflect what transpires on the trip.

The villages here are so different and are actually not villages but the type of places which our Indian Super rich try to create for themselves and fail miserably. Serene, clean, quite, peaceful, fully equipped are some of the words that can describe them.
Life is like riding a bike. It is impossible to maintain your balance while standing still.

      • We did a tour of Matera today and it was awe inspiring and a journey through time. I didnt expect it to be so soaked in history since the paleolithic times.

        A photo from today morning:

                • Some more great pictures and nice log. Enjoying the pics and reliving my trip..

BTW, please be warned that the cops in Switzerland are very very strict with speed limits. Even 2-3 kms above the limit brings a hefty fine, whereas in EU, upto 10kms above limit is OK.

                      • The pics are out of this world.

With long kms to cover and all the twists & turns on those roads, you definitely need a lot of concentration. So you guys definitely need a break.

Dont you sometimes feel, how nice it would have been for all the luggage to be carried by someone else while you & the machine are all by yourself on those roads....
                        Ride safe.

That thought always crosses the mind.. but that luxury is not available to us so we have done the next best thing... reduced the luggage to tbe bare minimum so that there is no bag on the back anymore.
