  • I guess everyone's visa application (including mine) is in process... which takes around 5 to 6 days... (as told to me by a friendly travel agent)...
    Also, the 1'st, 2'nd and 3'rd order of top 3 has not yet been disclosed.. so there is no saying who's going to the DREAM LAND to have the best time of their life..

    Meanwhile, i was @ Fame Adlabs Andheri this afternoon... and just have a look at this !!

    Edit - lol @ last pic.. i kept clicking and staring the mighty HyperMotard for like 30 mins till all my friends got really pissed off lol... even missed the starting of "the last airbender".. !!

              • The Great Italian Roadtrip has been successfully completed with more than 7200 Kilometers and three legs. We returned this afternoon and also had a tour of the Ducati Factory and the Ducati Museum.

                We return tomorrow and will be updating the blogs soon. THe reason for the delay of course is the fact that we rode between 500 to 600 kilometers every day across 5 countries (Italy-France-Switzerland-Germany-Austria-Italy) in the Alps. We also did not have Internet availability at most places we stayed.

                        • From my FB status update from the plane yesterday (couldnt do it using my ,mobile on xBhp):

                          "completed 7200 kms on the great italian roadtrip around Italy and across the alps in France, Switzerland, Austria and germany on the fab ducati monster 1100s without any inceidento! Lots and Lots of pics and videos on xbhp soon! Now sitting in the plane to Delhi via Paris."

                          Aloso, special thanks to Anurag Ashok who didnt make me realize even for a second that he is 15 years older to me . A wonderful and friendly companion on the Streetfighter.

                          I am now sitting in front of my PC back home with no more kms to ride. However, 400+ GB of data including lots and lots of videos await processing into something good.

                          About the winners:

                          A constant communication channel has been maintained between the winners and us. It seems that due to excess incoming visa applications (especially in Mumbai) the whole process couldnt happen while we were there in Italy. The passports are still with the embassy and they have requested for an invitation letter from Ducati directly from Italy (fax) which has been done yesterday as well. If the wither winner will get a visa within the next one week we will see him fly to Italy by end of this month, otherwise it will be dragged to first week of September (because of holidays of some key personnel in Ducti which are handling us), but this seems unlikely.

                          @Harshal, Deep: How's it going?

                          • Congrats Sunny & Anurag on the successful culmination of this wonder trip. Glad it all passed off safely. Now we eagerly wait for your mouth watering pics.

                            Were you able to see my post on ADV about the scenic route suggestion towards Spittal or was it already too late.

                            • @Haroon: I was doing most of my checking and updates using my phone. And that also stopped when we crossed over to France and Switzerland since the 3G wont work on the swiss network. Out of the 24 days in the trip we got internet for apporx 12 days only, so couldnt really respond to your post.

                              @all: Ducati had also given a small link on their FB page:

                              You can expect a host of photos etc from the trip in the coming days.

                              • Congrats guys! You must have had a fantastic tour.

                                That was a good tour it seems. I somehow was under the impression that this was going to last longer.
