This is truly incredible. I hope you have a great time riding in Italy. I have not yet seen the entire plan of the tour. But I do hope you enjoy riding in that country as much as I have enjoyed driving across that country during several trips. It is amazing, the Tuscany region, going to Venice, (you cannot much ride there though), Firenze or Florence as we better know it, also in Tuscanny and home to the 16th century Renaissance movement starting the idea of giving perspective in paintings, new style of paintings, sculpture and architecture, eventually strongly influencing neighbouring countries of France and partly Spain too! Riding, discovering and learning this rich historical and cultural heritage will be an absolute pleasure. And what to say of Italian cuisine starting from Gnoccis to Raviolis to Risottos, mmm, mouth watering.
It has been 7 years since I last went to Italy. Alas! I am missing it!The Wheel was a great invention; Two Wheels with a Motor in between was even better!

Words have known to move billions of people, so first of all try to answer the question presented to you on the website (xBhp Presents the Great Italian Roatrip in association with Ducati and Videocon).Originally posted by princesirohi View Postjust write a slogan.............

.....to win a roadtrip..........there should be a better criteria....
Next we will select 10 best entries (based on things like articulation, creativity etc) and we will request for more information (bio, passprt proof etc) from these short listed contestants. 3 Out of these will be selected and we will issue letters to them. They will then have to apply for their own VISA. Depending on who gets the VISA out of the three, one will be flown to Italy - ALL EXPENSES PAID, including stay, food and lodging.

Three people with best entries will be asked to apply for a visa because there is a possibility of rejection from the authorities. In any case we will have the top three preferences in order chalked out to aid the final selection.Originally posted by vineet_44 View PostIf all the three get the visa????

On what grounds do you think they will reject the applicationOriginally posted by Sunny View PostThree people with best entries will be asked to apply for a visa because there is a possibility of rejection from the authorities. I really have no idea, could be many reasons including where you have been before, financialy conditions (even when we are sponsoring the trip), proof of residence in India, proof of intention of coming back to India etc.Originally posted by vineet_44 View PostOn what grounds do you think they will reject the application
Since the applicant will be applying by himself (by attaching our letter of sponsorship), he will be dealing directly with the visa authorities.

the point raised is ...what if a person is 100 % suitable for road trip (has passion for biking, is an experienced rider, has done lot of road trips etc etc) but is not very good at writing slogans.......
so that means he can't go.....????

Hey Prince... i totally understand and agree with your point. But the truth is there is a huge number of people in the forum and this country fitting the criterias that you've mentioned.
In the end we need to narrow down to one approach rite.
Keeping a long and complicated selection process will the hurt Sponsors considering the cost invloved already in the trip. So the current criteria could well be one of the easiest and the best ways to choose. As i said could be ONE OF THE not necessarily the one.
