I am saying in general not just for run in. Because you said you are riding 50% city and 50% highways. That's boring I think.

Enjoy riding pickup any missing riding gear soon.

So far I've never got bored while/due to riding/touring even on my discover which I currently use as my commuting/touring machine.

Thanks for the headsup, i'm on the lookout for upgrading my gears..

Update : Went to Maanasaroever honda yesterday and made the full payment.
I was allowed to ride the bike from the stockyard at porur to velachery. The bike had 1Km on the odo and the shed incharge said 3 litres of fuel was filled in, but the fuel indicator was still blinking. Upon insisting he filled in another litre on which the blinker stopped. Fired the baby up & it came to life without any hesitation and started grunting.
I let it on idle for 5 minutes & the engine heated up to 3 bars. My next mission was to fill in some more fuel & check the tire pressure.
As i started to ride, I had an eye on the tacho to maintain the RPM between 4000 to 5000. The engine was soo smooth & urged me to push the bike more. I managed to control my desire to rev, shifted at 4.5K RPM and varied the RPM in all gears, allowed engine braking. While crossing the porur signal, i can feel a lot of eyes on me .
Rode to the next shell bulk, the petrol cap was struck & struggled a bit to make it open. Filled in another Rs.200 worth petrol on which the fuel gauge came upto 3 bars. So initially they really have filled in 3 litres of petrol.
Then started riding again , after leaving the petrol bulk i realised that i forgot to check the tyre pressure. Again pulled over at the next bulk & checked the pressure, the front was at 27psi & rear at 26psi made it 29 and 30 resp. and started up the baby and i heard the radiator fan started spinning, which made me grin.

Rideability: I can't really complain on the rideability within chennai traffic. The bike was easily flickable for me & speeds below 10kmph was manageable. May be with a pillion i might find it a bit hard..

Heat : I was able to feel the heat through the denim jean while waiting at the signal, but not while riding at low speeds.

On reaching the showroom, I thanked the manager & asked him not to add any sticker on the bike anywhere. Which he agreed after a lot of questions.
Also asked him whether they would do the following if i bring it to them,
1. replace the visor with tinted one
2. paste rim sticker
3. radiator guard
And the answer was positive.

Update : Will be getting the bike in a week after temporary registration & insurance.
For temp. reg. i was asked only a copy of the ration card with my native address on it & a couple of passport size photos.

mate, i need some information regarding that tinted visor you said ?
From where are they arranging it ?
Also the cost factor.

BTW, Congrats on your new ride. Make sure you give her a good wash and wax the panels and rest assured, it will be jaw dropping gorgeous.

Best option and awesome color, I just simply love this all new black color, simply outstanding , . . BTW what is the cost for the new tires. . ? You exchanged the old the Conti go with this or brought it separately. .?

how much did the tires cost you? are you going to drive it all the way to your home town? sorry if I missed out.. I had a clue that you don't stay in Chennai

The Honda showroom opp to MEPZ is quite small but they do help you out..

Congo buddy... But dude the 110/70 tyre looks like rear tyre.. Plz confirm with the dealer. Its risky to use rear tyre in front.. I hope you didnt fit the tyre yet..

That's the profile for front in CBR 250R, rear is 140/70. So it is not at all risky.
