Did chandigarh amritsar once also.Plus i take it out for a spin every second day late at night and cover on an average 15 to 20 kms. So yea , i managed quite alot of seat time during the initial period when i got my bike. The bike has crossed the 12000 km mark now i think and i did my 4th service at 11,500 some time back. Changed the sparkplugs and the usual oil/filter . Still waiting for the exhausts to arrive . Taking a little longer than i expected.
Yes.. taking a hyper sports ike to the Himalays (not Apls) is challenging considering relatively narrower roads & condition. I feel, the Manali route is bit better though.
Are you riding in these summer conditions too & not facing any challenges?

These days i ride either at 5 in the morning and back home by 7 .30 or after 11 pm . During the day its just not possible because of the heat plus other work commitments. The bike performs fairly well as long as you moving. If you stopping at the lights for an extended period the right leg does feel like its on slow bbq. Thats why i am waiting for my full system. Will get rid of the cat. That really smokes the right foot/shin area.

Biking is about you and the bike and the highway and the freedom you get when all three work together. Its not about Bullying others on the road and behaving like its your Dads property.. So drive safe and be nice to your fellow bikers no matter what their ride is.

Once you get your exhaust, you might also want to look into some heat wrap that'll shield you from the heat of the exhaust... If that's what's bothering you that is...

The heat is generated by the cat situated in the header. The exhausts per se does no generate that much heat to cook your feet unless you running shorties close to the peg. Once i change the header and the cat is gone , excessive heat will be taken care off.

Update - Finally managed to source my Tiforce and install them. They look splendid in my opinion and the craftsmanship is top class. I got the limited edition full titanium system and took my two brothers carbon slip ons out. The bike definitely feels much stronger and i am assuming a gain between 10 - 12 rwhp. The sound is deep at idle but after 6000 rpm all hell breaks loose. I also installed the ecu editor and removed my top speed restrictions and in gear restrictions. Running a custom map that i arranged from a friend in states for this kind of setup. This thing pops a wheelie now in 1st , 2nd and sometimes in 3rd like a litre bike. The mods for the season are pretty much taken care now. Attaching some pics.

I am still on stock gearing but have touched 191 ( 305.6) on a long straight ( GT Road ) before the hard fuel cut happened. I am a heavy guy so maybe someone lighter should do better. I ll have to alter the gearing and do some more mods to reach the magical 200 mph mark though.

you need to install a de-restricter first... then may have to go down one teeth on the rear in order to try & catch that figure...

The bike is de restricted Rongom ! The ecu editor gets ride of the restrictions , both top speed as well as in gear.

Get in touch with Performance Racing store in bombay and/or planet DSG in pune and they will stock / source most of the things you require.

I dint go to Bangkok to buy motorcycle parts if you know what i mean. Also , singapore , there is not much variety available from what i surveyed last.
