Are you running any After market fuel injection unit like bazza or power commander? May help hit the 200+ mark.

Am using a PC5 with stock exhaust, drag series clutch plates and some booted maps from internet on PC5. Works well.
A pick of speedo from the run way trials with stock exhaust. Wonder what it will with after market ones....

We'll the pick from 5th gear top speed...

I would need to alter gearing by running a lower rear sprocket, lower the bike , custom tune etc . There is wind , tyre slip and body weight of the rider etc that has to be taken into consideration. Alot other small things can be done to reach the 200 mph mark. But quite frankly on a stockish gen 2 with the regular eliminator and filters etc you ll reach 193/194 tops.
As for my bike , I am running a re flashed ecu with limiters removed and a custom map through pc5.

Re: My 2011 Suzuki Hayabusa

@ harish - the stock sprocket for gen 2 is 18f and 43r. I am not sure why you would run a -3 on the rear but it will kill the low end on the bike. Also loosing teeth on the rear is not same as gaining on the front. Anyhow , re load the map onto pc5 and re hook the pc5 to the bike. ensure the bike is in A mode. To load multiple maps and shift between them you would need an ecu flasher and a toggle switch since the mode selector only plays around with the secondary butterflies.

Jai Ho Busa!!!!!!!!!

bigron is it possible to find the goodies you have brought for your Busa because I am going to buy a Hayabusa when I come to India . And is it advisable to change the stock exhaust at the time of the delivery itself or do I have to wait until the break-in or running-in period is over?

PS: I read your report on the Busa and it has sealed my decision to get the bike even if I have to live with one bike in my whole life it would be the GSX1300R Jai Ho Busa!!!!!!!!

You can change whatever you want at the time of delivery. Personally I did not change anything on my bike for the initial 2000 , 3000 kms. Its a nice thing to enjoy the bike stock before you add the after markets.

Okay people , I think its time to update this thread. Just got around ordering a complete brake overhaul for the bike. Moving to the best there is , Brembos. Everything from the calipers to the m/c . The parts are yet to reach me . I will post the pics once I get down to installing them. Braking should drastically improve now with tremendous bite and feel. Cant wait to get down to rebuilding my brakes. Will keep you guys posted. Ride safe

Re: My 2011 Suzuki Hayabusa

Okay guys heres the update I was talking about. Spent a nice weekend in the garage and got around installing few things on the bike. I am of the view that two things that can really change the character of the hayabusa are upgrading the brakes and moving to better suspension parts.
Replaced the stock brake lever with Brembo M/C and Brake reservoir kit. Went ahead and also installed the Brembo HP caliper with titanuim pins. This thing is costly but a top of the line product for the street and occasional track days. Changed the rotors to semi floating galfer waves. I initially ordered the full floating but the noise they made was too distracting for me. I was already runnning braided lines front and back. Oh and while at it changed the rear rotor to wave too.
Changed the rear sprocket and went up a few teeth to improve initial pull. This thing wheelies like a 1000 cc now with the new sprox and no ingear restrictions. Added a speed corrector coz of the changed gearing.
Thats about it for now. Adding some pics of the build. The build went smooth apart from a little hiccup i faced with the m/c touching the meter plastic on full lock. a little grinding on the handle bar risers and we were good to go.
Cheers for now. Ride safe.
