You dont need a pcv with slip ons. The slight variation in the A/F mixture will automatically be adjusted by the ecu. Nice color there .2011 Suzuki GSX1300R - Tiforce full titanium DUAL 380 MM, ECU editor Flashed , Unrestricted , custom Map, PCV, Steel Braided Lines , Supersprox F/R, Evotech keyless, Pazzos , FP Tactical , speed o healer , ebc Extreme Pro , Zero Gravity DB , BMC race a/f , Brembo Radial M/C , Galfer Wave rotors F/R , Brembo HP Calipers , Brembo Reservoir, Corbin Custom Seats f/r , Dual HIDs, custom paint and GPR V4 SS.

You'd be surprised the kind of heated debates that popped up. One side believes the air filter and slip on will make her run lean and damage the engine in the long run. The other side thought it was a waste of money. Finally got in touch with the manufacturers to clarify. The PC5 WILL make a difference, but only if it's tuned properly, for which there are no facilities here and no base map from the manufacturer.Originally posted by bigron View PostYou dont need a pcv with slip ons. Might do a PC5+Autotune in the future but for now I'm super happy.

The manufacturer will say that to promote his product. Having said that we have used pcv with slipons on atleast 10 bikes to see if there is any noticeable difference. The power curve did smooth out just a bit in the mid ranges but not enough to warrant a purchase. Plus an average rider will never notice the difference. The restriction in the exhaust system happens prior to the cans and slipons will give you hardly any performance gains . they more for sound and weight saving. Nevertheless , if you think it works for you , then good on you.2011 Suzuki GSX1300R - Tiforce full titanium DUAL 380 MM, ECU editor Flashed , Unrestricted , custom Map, PCV, Steel Braided Lines , Supersprox F/R, Evotech keyless, Pazzos , FP Tactical , speed o healer , ebc Extreme Pro , Zero Gravity DB , BMC race a/f , Brembo Radial M/C , Galfer Wave rotors F/R , Brembo HP Calipers , Brembo Reservoir, Corbin Custom Seats f/r , Dual HIDs, custom paint and GPR V4 SS.

Hey Ron, good to hear your feedback. Getting rid of the stock exhaust dropped a lot of weight. The 1000 rr stock also contains the cat and some bends in the pipe. The Jardine is an almost straight pipe and now there's no cat, so I'm sure there's some difference in the way things are flowing. I'm sure the PC will make some difference, but like you said, not sure if it's worth the purchase.
I'm not keen on adding bits just for negligible gains, so until I'm fully convinced, I'm going to keep her this way and enjoy the hell out of it

Hey man, you mentioned that there is no cat now with the Jardine Slip-On. If that is the case, you are basically running a full system. Highly recommend a PCV. If the CAT is in place, then you can avoid the PCV (there are arguments going both ways). But if the CAT has been removed, then DEFINITELY get a PCV. Run a map for any other EU spec system, which mimics the Jardine pipe in length and diameter. PCV + AUTOTUNE is the best option obviously in the absence of a dyno shop or a map from dynojet, but PCV for now is a must.

Since you mention that your cat was situated in your end can which now you have removed having a fuel management system makes sense for you. It will definitely iron out any flat spots in the power curve. If you dont have a perfect map you can try using a map made for a different brand . The differences in values normally dont vary too much on a generic map. Most of the bikes we tested had the cat in the mid pipes/headers hence removing the end can made no substantial difference to the A/F mixture. Apart from the pcv you can look at bazzaz and i ve heard positive reviews off it. Does your bike have secondary injectors ?2011 Suzuki GSX1300R - Tiforce full titanium DUAL 380 MM, ECU editor Flashed , Unrestricted , custom Map, PCV, Steel Braided Lines , Supersprox F/R, Evotech keyless, Pazzos , FP Tactical , speed o healer , ebc Extreme Pro , Zero Gravity DB , BMC race a/f , Brembo Radial M/C , Galfer Wave rotors F/R , Brembo HP Calipers , Brembo Reservoir, Corbin Custom Seats f/r , Dual HIDs, custom paint and GPR V4 SS.

I doubt that , its a fuel management system and they all are hooked mostly the same way. I guess all you have to do is remove the TPS plug , plug in the FI module and the Z bomb module and hook the oem TPS plug to the z bomb. I am going to read a bit more on this and see if its any different from installing it on a zx1400 or a gsx1300rLast edited by bigron; 03-17-2012, 11:16 AM.2011 Suzuki GSX1300R - Tiforce full titanium DUAL 380 MM, ECU editor Flashed , Unrestricted , custom Map, PCV, Steel Braided Lines , Supersprox F/R, Evotech keyless, Pazzos , FP Tactical , speed o healer , ebc Extreme Pro , Zero Gravity DB , BMC race a/f , Brembo Radial M/C , Galfer Wave rotors F/R , Brembo HP Calipers , Brembo Reservoir, Corbin Custom Seats f/r , Dual HIDs, custom paint and GPR V4 SS.

only difference would be the ecu... talking mainly from zx14's experience... bazzaz doesnt respond to the ZZR1400, but works better than PC3 or 5 for US version ZX14's. Not too sure if there's any ecu difference in Busa from the euro or US spec...Originally posted by bigron View PostI doubt that , its a fuel management system and they all are hooked mostly the same way.
