  • Re: My pre-worshipped goddess - Yamaha R1

So an update has been long overdue but had been shifting my house from Gurgaon to Delhi so havent had time to make any updates of late. But other than riding hld ave added a few new cosmetic + functional + safety upgrades, so thought I would let you guys know.

Got my 4th clutch plate changed (yes I am a horrible rider and very impatient and am overeving all the time, so my clutch pays the price), Front Tire changed, rear cowl added ( reached finally). And lastly the one safety upgrade that I havent seen any superbikers have - headlight guards (ok some other SBK'ers may have them, but since I havent seen them, I felt I must comment). Given that our roads are full of pebbles and worse when driving in groups these things fly out at tremendous speeds, I felt this is an important safety aid to add. With this the only safety equipment missing is my radiator guard which should be here in another 2 weeks to round my bike's all round protection (No burre nazaar guys, have already crashed once )

Kudos to you brother! People like you are rare.
Just like you were lucky to get polite children who were around your bike, they were lucky as well because you understood their real intentions and had lunch with them rather than scolding and shooing them off. Take a bow!

Well thanks for all the wishes, but as usual bad luck seems to follow my bike like ants to sugar, so as you might have guessed already, another accident has occured, and this time while the bike was parked. Some idiots in a Maruti 800 attempting a fast and furious drift at god knows what speed rammed into the right side of the bike destroying the cranskcase cover again, the side panels again and the footrests again, even managing to wipe out the clutch guard. And even sadder was the fact that the cops was sitting like 20 m away drinking tea while this happened. So the bike is back in the KRP workshop, while I deal with the emotional stress of seeing an empty parking spot. And to make matters worse, I got my Go Pro Black, my new LS2 helmet and my one-piece racing suit delivered the day after I sent the bike in for repairs....So sadly I write this post, depressed as I wait for a new crankcase cover (Since it is not a consummable part and is for an older model so not easily available)
