re: A Green Affair! Starring Kawasaki Ninja 650 Edit: Now Sold!
After returning from Khajuraho Trip, the first thing I did was replace my old set of tires (PR2) with brand new Michelin PR4. PR2 was a great companion and served me well in all conditions. Best part about PR2 was the price at which it was available. 17K for set was mouth watering and tire life would easily stretch to 20k kms per set. Now that PR2 has been discontinued to make way for PR3 & PR4, I decided to go for the latter.
After some research to find the tires at best price, I found Torus Tires near Oshiwara the best place as the owner was very curteous, offered the best price and also had experience in changing superbike tires. PR4 was finally fitted at cost of 26k in total which includes 1k labour.
I have done around 2500 kms post the tire change and PR4 is total paisa vasool tire. It builds on the legacy of PR series by Michelin and continues to be best amongst the lot. Highly recommended for anyone who is looking for Tire change.

No Issues whatsoever. I have used 180 profile tires now for over 40K kms on my Ninja without any issues.Originally posted by shinobinomono View PostIs it ok to put 180 tyres on the ninja? I thought it comes with 160.

Seems like front tyre of my Ninja needs replacement although bike has only clocked 11k. I can feel the wobble on low speeds and even corners are not very stable. Unusual for OEM tyres to go at this mileage?Aashish Paul

How old are the tyres? Sometimes because of age also, the rubber hardens and thus ends up compromising its actual abilities.

I wouldn't say 3 years is the end of life of a tyre, but is nearing one. A lot depends on how it was kept. Tyres of Bikes parked at 1 place for long generally become harder soon.

Hey , I have been a passive visitor to this thread and have read it completely, I must say this thread really helped me in deciding on my Ninja 650, which I got my hands on a day before the BSIII versions got banned. I would like to know where I can get the LHS grab rail in Bangalore. I need to get rid of that eyesore of a saree guard.People ask me , why are you cribbing about the BHP ? to them I say "MORE is never ENOUGH" xbhp.com
