Thanks. I am using the bike mostly for weekend rides and occasional office/city commutes.

The HDFC scheme has a 7.5% interest rate for 5 years tenure. But I guess now a days the loan is available only for 4 years.
For me the down payment was 1.06 lacs including the first month EMI and the EMI is 8, 600 approx.
    Hope it helps.

        Congrats on your new HD.
Just one clarification...how about service backup in chennai..? Heard HD suffers a bit in service.

Firstly, congrats for your new acquisition!
Just curious to know - how does a HD750 feel against a RE? The RE350 which you owned was pretty old and the engine capacity was pretty low(as compared to the HD750) but still you have a fair amount of idea by now(I know the comparison is not fair but want to know just for the sake of it).
                    Ride hard and safe!
A bike on the road is worth two in the shed.

While 350 does 0-100 in around 11 sec and 500 does it in 9. Street 750,This thing is as fast as most of the super cars. 0-100 in 4.5sec , with few starting mods like free flow mufflers & filters , expect another 0.3-0.4 sec shaved off.
It also does a quarter mile drag race in 13.6sec@ 94 mph. Bullet 500 efi does it in 22 sec @ 71mph.
Top speed has been tested at 115mph for street .
Re500 efi does 81mph when in its best mood.
This thing is a fast nimble agile and good tradeoff between a cruiser and cafe hopper.

Thanks a lot for the info. And if I am not wrong, the Harley's engine and gearbox is more refined than the Bullet's.

While refinement can be different from person to person , i never found bullets gearbox to be a problem in 10 yrs of ownership. Although time to time you miss s gear n fall into false neutral .

I would rather like to benchmark the Street with Thunderbird 500. I love the way the Bird handles. For me that's the bike I might have bought if the greed for power wouldn't have been there. The way I ride I find the Bird very confidence inspiring and forgiving.
As for the Street, I find whatever I like in the Bird, it's taken a few notches up (except the sound and brakes most probably). But then you pay more as well

I totally agree with the last statement.

While the Street gearbox is smoother (I guess that's the right word), it's still far far away from what the Japs offer. In the Street it's more of a 'Clunk' rather than "Thud".

The bike has covered 1000 kms. It's been a month and till now it's been good fun. Attended couple of HOG rides and some solo runs.
The first service was done this saturday. The good thing is they let you be there with the bike when it's getting serviced. The bad thing is it took a lot of time because there are less people and more number of jobs. I was at the service center at 10:30 with prior appointment and received the bike back at around 5:00 in the evening.
But, I am pretty happy with the way the guys handle the bike and the behavior of everyone was wonderful.
The service cost was Rs. 6251/- total.
I have removed the headlamp fairing as of now (I like the fairing but I wanted to experiment) but it may come back some time later. As of now I am liking the new look.
Still waiting for some accessories to arrive.
