    Congrats for the Street!

One question, I have and that th console is very very minimalistic. As in... No rpm, no fuel gauge!

So was just guessing, how would you know when you need to tank up? How do you calculate tank ful to tank full?

No fuel gauge does not mean it does not have a low fuel warning light.
Just tank up when the light comes on. Moreover just a few years earlier we were twisting petcocks from main to res every now and then. And never complained . Damn! The japs have spoiled us big time.
RPM gauge?? I don't even know what use it is out of a race circuit, so cant really comment if i miss it on a bike.

Well, I still would prefer the petcocks over a fuel-gauge anyday
RMP gauge, not really a necessity...just wanted to know. That's all

          Why this thread is dead...??
I guess people have no interest in the most affordable harley.

Okie guys.. Sorry for keeping this thread silent for long. Had been busy with a lot of travel, sadly, not much on the bike. But, managed to put 3K on the odo mostly with office commutes. Good thing is now I feel pretty confident and used to with the bike. It's much easy to tackle the irritating traffic. Got the second service done. Costed Rs.5781 total with the regular service. Had no complaints. The engine is a wee bit rough, but I kinda like it as it makes the bike sound a little better. Heard a rumour that Harley is going to change the servicee interval to one year/8000 kms from 6 months/8000kms. Lets hope it's true. The service charges has also been reduced, as for the same regular service I paid Rs 6500 last time.
Going on some other road trips, but again, not on the Street. Will keep the thread updated with everything I find useful.
            Cheers!

P.S. - Met Sunny at EICMA. Visited the Ducati, Lamborghini and Enzo Ferrari Museums as well. Now I just want to find time to ride the Street and put some miles on the odo which it rightly deserves.

I heard something on the same lines but even bigger interval of 10k/12 months. I do hope its true. Have the brakes improved on your bike in the few months since you bought it? A friend who owns a Street 750, bought last month , is unsure about upgrading the brakes or waiting for a while to see if their bite improves.

Hi . Yep, got it a couple of days back n had a wonderful time & experience at NBHD. The guys there were really supportive. Though it took sometime to bundle up everything n start my maiden ride on my new kid from amdavad to vadodara. So after putting on my riding gears, started towards my direction n man wat a feeling it gives on the highway. Could not twist the throttle full as to let the engine tune up.. Have clocked 300 on Odo as of today morning. Will update about the new addition to my stable once i can test it fully.
                        Cheers

Hi Kinshuk. I am yet to install the backrest, and without it there is practically no scope of a long ride with a pillion. The small seat with the high set rear footpegs make it pretty difficult.
The bike is pretty good in handling traffic once you get used to it. But, the heat can be a major irritant. But i guess, that's a downside for most of the big-engined bikes.
                            Hope it helps.

                            Cheers!

I guess its been a long time since you have updated.

How's it going ? What's the ODO now ? Have you done any trips during the interim ? Have you upgraded to the Screaming Eagle ? Also inside city what's the FE ?

Not been able to ride much recently.. so nothing much to update. The bike is behaving normal (normal being great here). have been using it quite often for my office commutes. Does the duty nicely except the heat part which is a pain considering Chennai weather.

Had couple of solo long rides. One was to Kolar and the other one to Bangalore. Great again except for some flaw in ergonomics. So, rather than me adopting to it, I am going to do few changes to make it adopt to me. Will keep the thread updated.

The odo stands at a little above 6K only. The FE hovers above 20kmpl no matter how I ride.

No upgradation of silencer, but I have shortlisted few. Again, will keep you guys updated. It definitely is not going to be the SE.

I, however, have made my own backrest taking the avenger thing as the base. Not very great but solves the purpose of preventing the pillion from falling off. Still, the rear seat is not the ideal place to be and that area too requires some modifications.

Sad news is some jealous guy tried to steal the badges. He got away with one and left the other one damaged. But I am taking this as an opportunity to do some graphical experiment. Nothing planned as of now.

                                Few pics from the rides.
