Re: My 2015 Harley Davidson Superlow comes home
10th May'2015
It is very hot now in NCR with day temperatures in excess of 42 deg celcius regularly; however that is not going to be a deterrant in Riding. So here we were today just four of us but enough to enjoy our rides on our friendly neighbourhood expressway 'yamex'. The ride plan was simple tank up meet at yamex at 5:30am ride till Jewar have some fluids and back.
The gang comprised of couple of Dynas, couple of sporty's. Early morning was pleasant enough today on rider friendly xpressway. We rode at 120kph avg speed till jewar and before we realised we were at the food junction already in about 15-20 mins. This was not enough for our ride hungry gang so on consensus we decided to go till another 40kms from the Jewar Toll and where ever the first cut shows up, back from there. Not before spending a few mins having our favourite early morning cold coffee, chai, water.
Before we pushed off, the Dyna boys who own Street Bobs were un-satisfied with 120kph and wanted to crank up the engine a bit more. We agreed for 140kph this time and I gleefully gave the Lead to both the Dyna boys. I am told by them that the 1600cc beast breathes very well on 6th Gear in excess of 140kph. Both these Dynas are totally stock and I just love itsexhaust note in stock condition which is not the case with my sporty. So the Dynas bullied ahead in excess of 140kph while both me and my sporty mate preferred 140kph.
It was just amazing with the cool wind hitting us and riding at almost full tilt, I did breach 160kph again today and felt exhilarating for 10-15 kms today. Post 160kph it becomes a serious effort for my stock sportster, it begs for another gear and a few more bhp's I guess. Enroute back we saw the Delhi based B2R group, quite a few bad ass Harley's in there along with other sport bikes. They don't have any such 'Harley Only' restrictions as such which is good.
We finally concluded the ride with a sumptous breakfast at Jaypee Sports Complex, with a hell lot of bikers. There was some sort of breakfast carnival with all kinds of sport bikes, you name it; Ducati, Yamaha, Triumph, The BUSA, Intruder, Kawasaki, Honda. Man it was a visual treat for sure.

Re: My 2015 Harley Davidson Superlow comes home
Back from my hibernation
Sporty has now completed 6000kms; majority of riding in and around city. I have kept it to an absolutely stock bike so far. I also purchased a butt pillow from a friend who upgraded to a plush saddle hence the pillow was not really required. However the "Air Zeppelin" has not really helped me immensely, my tail bone still hurts over long rides. Saddle upgrade is definitely on the cards.
Meanwhile, rode a friend's Street Bob; really loved the ride. Again in my case the saddle comfort seems to make a hell of a difference to the ride. As it is the Suspension is stiff and if you club that with a bald saddle devoid of any cushion matters can be worse.
A few pictures

Congrats ! Soon you will be on 9999 and that's when it gets interesting!
Since now that you have had her for quite a while , I will recommend stage 1 air cleaner , de baffled mufflers and a Powervision. Probably total cost will be under 40-50k .
After that you will come to know what's its like to feed a sportster with bag full of air to that vtwin.
And yes do keep it for long time , she is humblest of servants and a friend like no other.

Re: My 2015 Harley Davidson Superlow comes home
I actually did not know it until you mentioned, mechanically both are not very different. Breakout was a damn good looking bike but not nimble and maneuverable at all due to the humongous rear tyre.Originally posted by Gokul S1000rr View PostOfftopic here!!! But just an info!!
Looks like Harley Davidson India Motorcycle Ltd, has removed the Breakout model for 2017 lineup. And added a new model "Roadster" next to 1200 Custom & Forty Eight.
