Sourjya sir one small query.
I read on team bhp that all kawi owners change their engine oil once a year or roughly at 10000kms. I mean is this okay. Can the oil hold up well this long, a superbike which has got a big engine &,is hot all the time in comparison to our puny 150cc ones. Well all of you might be using motul 7100 or motul 300v. Ive read the 7100 lasts for around 6-7k kms. & the 300v around 10k with topups needed in between. So you guys change your oil at the first service . Then at third service i suppose ? Most of the owners have not opted for oil change at 2nd service. Even triumph has a service once a year i suppose. Will the oil last so long. ?

Well, this is the first time I have changed the oil. But from what I hear and read, yes it would last, not to be worried. The engines are large agreed but we must also take into consideration the volume of oil as well. 3.4 litres for the Z, precisely.
I am on the 300V and it will easily last the distance. In all probability, I will be changing the oil at the 12k/1 year mark so 11K on the oil change. Regular checks will be done obviously but I doubt I will need a change before the stipulated time.

Wear and tear is much higher in stop and go traffic and due to this the engine temperature is always on the higher side so this translates to higher stress on the engine so to keep your engine in top notch condition its a small investment.Comment

At Bangalore they use Motul 7100, not 300v.

Okie. So i guees u need to change the oil sooner as 7100 has a bit less drain interval than the 300v.

I must say the zee800 is turning out to be the superbike for the masses in india.
Highly tractable, good "kitna deti hai" figure, great on road dynamics,powerful & simply brilliant inline 4 engine .
Dont forget the amazing pricing.
All in all a fantabulous combination for the Indian adrenaline junkie

Will need change by 7K kms at the max. I can't believe I did not verify that those nuts were pouring in something that is not prescribed !!! Well, they use everything that is not prescribed by kawasaki so should not be a big surprise either. Just wait and watch for the vibs to pour in a few more grands of miles !

Funniest part is, I use the same 7100 on my ZMR and replace the oil once in 3.5-4k kms
