Lots of Washers & rubber bush came out

My Bro & Cousin trying to fit the Front MudGaurd that Just wouldn't FIT, More Later why it wont

The Sole waiting for the body to get ready !!!

All the Boxes indicate New Set of Flaring & mudguard Kit from HH

Red tank painted Red & dulled waiting for Lacquer

    Tank Snickered & getting Lacquer

We discovered Rust behind the Neck after painter left, used sandpaper & my Spray paint to fix it.

Finish after Lacker, it really changes the finish.

No the Mudguard was not fitting & My bro had to get below the bike to see why not, discovered that this clamp was missing so the fitting screws or bolts has no where to go, it was a lesson learnt the hard way,

Hats off to you&your love for both these bikes!
The Comet does have a few overkill type of changes done, I know you know what I'm talking about, but overall the bodywork quality of both these bikes can withstand years of usage now. I am sure the engines are also in top-notch condition?
I just felt that instead of normal stickering, metal/embossed logos on the tank would have looked much better!
Thanks for taking pics of the entire process at various stages-it is really as though we are standing there while the whole thing was done!
            Congrats-they both look splendid!

@ Vas & CoPlay : The Engine is Spray painted, powder coating is done for Silencer & Chain guard, levers only.

@ Sarvajit Yes I know the Comet looks Sprint, but wanted it that way. For the last 5 years She has been stock looking, Yes the engine are in Great condition too. Its NOT a ALL SHOW NO GO BIKE boy Yes I agree we could have some custom stickering done (My Bro dose not like it) but do not know where to get custom monograms. Would love one for my Comet, if you know where & how please let me know.

@Dj666: Its all DuPont the primer, the Base, Hardner, Lacker all are form DuPont. Lovely list of Bikes in your signature pal.

Guys I am yet to Upload the pics & job done on my cousin's FZ thats coming up next
have updated the pics post with comments too.

                Cheers

                    Few questions!

                    1) Do these guys come to ur home n give the coat?
                    2) Is the chasis painted without removing the engine, battery et al ?
AFAIK, all the parts will be removed and then the chasis will be painted
                    3) As the color is changed from RED to BLACK now, do u need to get it changed in RC book too?

Yes they are HID's one H4 & one H1 (H1 not yet fitted)
No Mods on the Engine, Bike Has a 50T Sprocket (4 extra teethes) Irridium Spark Plugs K&N Filter, XringChain Carb re-jetting, 1st stage of restriction cat con removed.
My top speed is 155 (usable linearly till 120,later you have to sit & wait) other Comets have done 160 I believe.
@sunil -- Damn!! Thats one really neat bike. I'm now totally for getting my own yellow painted to something fresh. How much did the entire project for lacquering and painting cost you? I dont wanna sell mine any which ways so i want to make sure it stays healthy like yours!

I just dont know of a place in pune or bombay thats reliable!
Also, i've got a 2bros free flow installed. I also now have laid my hands on a BMC airfilter. What i need is new jets. Do you know of a place that have size 90 thru 110 jets? And similary size 20-25 pilots? I tried finding in pune but just couldnt. You must know most of the comet mechs in your city by now. Can you please work your charm and help me find out?

They had to come home to paint the chasis as I cannot down the engine, we can mask the parts & then paint the chasis. advised about the RTO stuff my Bro but he didnt see value in it.

paint & lacker body & Rims 6.5K INR
                        Paint Chasis,swing arm & Lacker chasis + engine + swing arm 2K + .3K tips

Actually New Jets are not needed, I got them from richard Hyosung of Yahoo cometowners group, I got 100 & 102.5 & 105 but the stock 92.5 & 95 just work fine (thats my setup).

                        Cheers

One More Pic of my Bro's RIde getting ready

FZ waiting for its Part, Actually you can ride it out thats kind of cool

                          Removing FZ Parts

                          FZ Left Side View

Parts fitted on to the FZ

                          Today Nov 1st Polish Work:

Rubbing to remove spots & small dust projections on Lacquer

Silicone used to fill the sand paper via rubbing

Sand paper soaked in water before rubbing

                          Silicone Applied on the Tank

I like an idiot put a hella h1 on the number plate lamp & it has melted the glass like above !!!! Now need to fix it

My Tank after its polished, the Blue spots actually look better in flesh

                          New Additions
                          1. replaced the broken HID & old bulb by a bBi-Xenon (3.5K) INR
                          2. Tank Pad 1.2K INR
                          3. installed my h1 HID (this is really good)

The bi Xenon although has a solenoid the pattern dose not change significantly, I thing its good to flicker on Pass only, for high beam I love the H1 xenon in the hella flood lmp setup.

                          Rear fenders after polish

Tank Again ( You can see me in it

                          My Cousins FZ being worried

                          After applying silicone

My Bro's ZMA getting a quote

FZ watching while the ZMA comes to glory

This is an other cousin of mine Santosh (Santro) look at the clamp setup by him for the FZ lamp on a Uni ....

The ZMA took almost 1/2 a day to work on as it has many parts & lots of dust settled on lacquer (painting should Ideally be done in a vacuums env you see)

Speaking of Dust look at the dust settled on my rear fender by now

                          FX in Glory

My bike & others lining up for a pic

3 bikes one Lamp now that like minded bikes

Birds of same feather folk together bikes of same head lamp lineup together

                          Checkout the tank pad

2 guys still rubbing the hell out of ZMA

No Offense but this cow boy passes my house EVERY day & wanted to post it
