Kinetic no longer has any ties with Hysoung. And I do not think Hyosung is going to try entering Indian market on its own now. Considering 250cc is considered reasonably "high end" in India and they will not be able to sell enuff numbers to sustain the high costs.

Also if they decided to bring the 2009 EFI GT250R, then it will be able to compete with the Ninja 250 on performance too (its still slow I admit, but not by that much) !!!!!!

Also it seems Kawasaki makes only a fixed number of Ninja 250s per year and the 2008 lot got over pretty quickly !!
Looks like Bajaj may need to pre order a fixed number of bike, which in turn might mean us consumers also have to order pretty much in advance with bajaj or we might have to wait till 2010 to get the bike !!

I sent the email to kineting for buying comet GT250. But they said not in stock as they get the newer models soon. Man 'soon' words have been heared so much time in the indian bike news category and its almost like a decade for us

@samrath any news that is it fuel injection or carb ? i am asking u too much but any way we are very curious!

meanwhile i think the two pics shown is 2008 model because in 2009 there is no lime green...09 model has a white stripes with green...

if i am wrong pls pardon me!

Last Monday I went to Suman Bajaj Noida, they told me that the Ninja 250R would only be avialable through exclusive Premium showrooms (which is not - Probiking). As far as Noida goes a place has been finalised in Sector-18 Atta market near ICICI bank, as told by the Service Manager Suman Bajaj.
He also said, they are waiting for a training schedule for their mechanics now and that, everyone at Bajaj is tight lipped about the launch date and price details of 250R.

I see, so mechanics have not received training. We can expect it after 2-3 months & not before it ... Thanks for info!

The number plate is really really huge. Note that it mentions ASSEMBLY CELL & not ASSEMBLY LINE.

is it a fi or a carb ? the guy who took the pic can tell us is it a fi or a carb because carb has a fuel reserve on knob ! so its easy!

But Bike India is "CONFIDENT" that it will be the Fuel Injected version. It was asked by someone in the Reader's Posts Section ...
