      If true, then that is a really great news. Any update on the launch date?

          Chakan is the manufacturing/assembling unit of Bajaj where the Pulsar project had started. And it was also in the news early this year that Ninja 250R will be assembled at the Chakan Plant.

                  And the problem is, there is not proper update to that news since Jan. But I guess as per plans Bajaj will first launch the KTM and then the Ninja... not getting that article anywhere now....

                    if brought in Completely Knocked Down (CKD) condition, Basic Duty will be 20%.
                    It is NOT written that ONLY Basic Duty will apply ... Language is unclear, it could still be both ways.

                      Dude...this is a pretty old link....!! and i think the same was on the economic times as well...!!

                      But, one thing to be noted here is that it has a verrrrrrrrry long time since Bajaj has done any official communication on this topic..

                        I found some KTM bike advertisements in a Bajaj Pro Biking showroom.. but there is no sign of Ninja...

                            haha Poor in Matchs? Fact, I am so poor I can't even Spell it right!

                            Anyways, Only Basic Duty -- something around 1.68 Lacs ...

                            Plus addtl. duty -- Around 1.96 lacs ... Who knows what is true about this?

                                who said that its at risk man ?? No news as such.. Everybody here is waiting ... as when would it be launched...

                                Ok... Lets take 1.68 into picture as of now.

                                so the above implies... that the whole bike should be imported in the form of CKD. All the parts... No indian parts in it... Which makes it to 1.68 appx.

                                Imagine if half (or more)of the parts... excepts.. the chasis, engine... are imported... i guess the rates would even more drop down for sure...

                                Who knows... a ninja may come for 1.3 or 1.4 ex show room...??
