I am loving it.
@guys who don't have access to Motorcycles having triple digit bhp figs.--
Take it to the shoulder of the road, dump the clutch, full bore acceleration, shift to second, you shall have a wheel-spin again and you will have to back-off a wee bit to control the spin.Last edited by sheelpriye; 07-31-2010, 11:57 AM.

He was tricked by Honda and he ended up buying the Fireblade, else believe me, he was about to pick up Rossi's M1.Originally posted by Andytheripper View PostSeriously, why the Blade when the R1 is on sale in India ?
Seriously, what makes you say so? What is so good about the R1 which any other Motorcycle lacks? We now have GSX-R1000 too.Last edited by sheelpriye; 08-01-2010, 11:35 PM.

I don't why we always have to have the Fireblade vs R1 thingy going!! They both are the result of brilliant engineering, awesome craftsmanship and above all unfathomable passion towards motorcycling.
If the Fireblade compactness and rideability makes the rider look riding much much better than he/she actually is and is every rider's dream first liter class bike, the R1 is still the blade runner of bringing amazing technology and style into the competition. I mean who could have thought of implementing something like cross-plan crank shaft and making throttle response so linear.
Experts are experts and all the reviews and views put by experts are on race track. We all know that on a race track it's a very different ball game and the game changes the moment you find yourself on the public roads. Yamaha R1 might have lost on top end, but it's also a fact that every rider who rides the R1 enjoys it to the fullest. The Fireblade is simply bliss!!
So, totally agree here with Tenhut... with his caliber... MTT Y2K should have been his bike to launch his butt towards escape velocity.

Uhh my extremely humble and noob 2 cents:
The R1 is wild. right off the block. Untamed. No mercy. It will try biting you and spitting you out of its twin cans. You need to wrestle with it and its really primitive instinct that gives us the immense pleasure of taming the beast, albeit at 40-60% of the beast's actual strength. Your chest grows hairier, and you slowly morph into a bad-boy.
The Blade is an opposite. If you can imagine it. It is extremely user friendly. No tricks, no sudden 'boos' in your ear. Its re-assuring. It says 'come on, easy, you can do it'. And don't mistake the easy going nature for the bike being bland. Hell no. The R1 will make you work hard, for what the Blade lets you achieve as easy as saying a-b-c. It will be devillish and an exceptionally angry beast, only when you want it to.
So its really like split personalities. I can't imagine myself in Fireblah's place. I'd go mad! One moment I'd want to be sedate, the good boy. And the next moment, you want to thrash the living daylights out of yourself and everyone else. That's when you wish you had the R1.
And Fireblah's got both.... Dude, stay away... Fight the R vs RR invasion if you can...
@ Tenhut- Awesome videos man! The 2nd movie is ok, but the sound is too low... or maybe the camera's mic is going deaf with the 'acoustic attyachaar' its bearing...
You get the point?? :D
