        Hello Folks,

        1) I want to know what is the best way of checking the bore of RD without Vernier.

        2) How to know that the bore is with sleeves. Will there be any colour change between the two metals

OK I guess this topic has deviated quite a bit from it's intended purpose! So if you guys don't mind let me post a few more doubts about the RD. Hoping to find answers soon ofcourse...

The tyres for the RD are 3.00x18 (front) and 3.50x18 (rear) right? I don't think these tyres are available now. How do the RD riders compensate for this?

Are the commonly replaced parts such as spark plugs, bulbs, cables etc. available for the RD? Or can any other bike's parts be used as substitutes? How do one procure a chain-sprocket assembly or brake-shoes?

How does one check if the bike is running on points or CDI? I mean where is the ignition unit situated in the bike? And for a novice, how does the CB points differ from the CDI unit by looks? Can anyone provide pictures?

2 stroke forum moderator, please help. - MAX. [B)]

You can still get 3.50x18 rears and 3.00x18 front tyres for the RD. Don't worry about that

I'm running on 3.00 ceat up front and 3.50 dunlop on my RX-5Speed. You get MRF Nylogrip 3.50x18 too.

              Cheers.

hi,the tyres r avbl.in plenty and also the cbz tyre work well.as for plugs u need ngk b8hs.open the point cover on left side,u'll immediately find a pair of points resting on the plate.brake shoes etc r avbl.a advice-stock things like clutch cable, brake shoes, speedo cable, point set and plugs etc, atleast one pair.sporcket r there, chain u may have to use bullet's chain.

I guess the bikes here are much more expensive than what you get in Delhi Rajnish. Even the screwed up ones don't come for anything less than 25K and the somewhat good ones cost around 35 - 40K. As I am scared of buying a totally screwed up bike, I might actually end up buying the 35 or 40K ones! And this is a very looooooong term investment too. Will try and get an LT though. - MAX.

yes the prices r higher there, bangalore price r even higher.LT is better practal choice for everyday use.try the bikes which r on second or third over size.u'll still have some oversize left and can send it to rddreams.they also do crank and con rod work.so no probs.pistons will be tkr which work well on the LT.engine job will be 15k max for excellent job by ron i think.

A good points system is much more advantages in terms of performance over a normal cdi. Now the cdi has the advantages of reliablity and nice running of the bike. But when it comes to performance the points has an advantage but if its a digital cdi then the story is completely different!
