      Riding RX135 for a week.

@nithin-> no, i have not changed in my name,...... will change it in a day or two.

      @ALL-> i have some issue,....

      1. my mechanic said, old owner has fixed RX100 carberatour. he said pick up will be low. i feel very good pickup(since am new to RX). should i go for RX135 carberatour?

      2. Brakes are too bad.(My HH pasion brakes were comparitively awesome) will it be like that? bike take long distance to stop when i go beyond 80km/hr. will RX135 will be like that?

      3. RX135 is too short for me . am 6'1" tall. is there any option to increase height of bike?

RX100 came with Mikuni VM20. Whereas RX135 carb was slightly bigger. So it is upto you.

You'll need to check both the brakes. If I'm not wrong, Yamaha braking is good in its class. I have not faced any delay like you said.

The current wheel rim is 18". You might want to try some 25"????? just kidding.

Either you buy suitable bike and forget RX or get used to it.

Also regarding the braking issue, see if the brake hubs have worn out.

I've been yearning to buy an rx for myself ever since I rode a friend's rx100. My r15 doesn't give me a rush while accelerating ever since that 3 minute ride .

I'm confused on what to buy i.e. rx100/rx135 4s/rx135 5s. I've read on xbhp that the power delivery of 135 is linear and that of the 100 is all about the powerband. I've also read that spares of 135 are harder to find than that of a 100.

Hence I'm leaning to wards the 100. Am I making the right choice?

My requirements from the bike is that it should do well in traffic as I have to go to places where the traffic situation is bad and I get tired on the r15. Add to that I don't always find parking spots and parking the R15 anywhere turns out to be a bit of a headache for me.

I've taken a look at an rx100 which I didn't like, it was cosmetically shot and engine also needed work. Add to that the owner was not prepared to give it to me so that my mech can take a look and was asking 9k for it. Hence I dropped it. Now the search continues......
A good long ride can clear your mind, restore your faith, and use up a lot of fuel.

Nobody in their right mind would want to sell off an immaculate RX100. something has to be wrong with the bike as always and it is upto you to get it right. If they are like selling off an immaculate piece it won't come for cheaps that's fo shaaaaaaaaaaao!

SO I guess I have to keep searching till I find someone insane enough to let go of a good condition rx for cheap, or maybe an rx which needs work really really cheap

All I can say is RX135 having an edge over RX100 though it is known for smoothness and unique exhaust note hence considered legend. I don't want to start a debate nor trying to side with RX135 since I own one.

Sourcing of RX135 is slightly difficult these days but not impossible. Power deliverance in RX135 is spread right through all the shifts. In my opinion the top is better than 100.

I leave the choice to you to make a decision to choose 100 or 135. However, by picking one over the other, you will not be disappointed.

Yes the RX135 is a better engine with good torque spread and feels comfortable with predictable acceleration. It is a two stroker with Catalytic converter. The RX 100 in comparison is like a rogue..the power comes up suddenly, and surprises you.

Ideally I'd love to have both . But due to budget restrictions, all I'm finding right now are 100's. Let's see if I can find a 135 within the reach of my pocket. Fingers crossed

Finding an rx is really hard it seems, seen almost a dozen bikes and none of them called to me. Spending almost all of my weekends in karol bagh and laxmi nagar markets trying to find a 100.

To add to the pain, last evening when I went to the market to get some things, saw a beautifully maintained rx100. Luckily the rider had to go to the same shop as me and I talked to him for a while. He had put in about 15k in restoring the bike which he acquired from his brother. I admired the bike for sometime and then came back home, the sweet sound of the 2 stroke mill still in my ears.

Hope I get an rx soon :|

I would suggest you to get RX even if it is not maintained well, you can do the restoration job with the help of our community. Not many time you would come across a decent/well maintained RX for sale unless the seller has not valued the possession. Try to pick one which has atleast engine is in decent condition and all the other cosmetics can be worked on. Even if there is any engine needs resurrection, parts can be sourced. Your wait will be rewarded with the beauty. All the best.

That's what I'm looking for sir. I don't care much for cosmetics, I need a bike which has a good engine and gearbox, but sadly till now the one's I've looked at either have bad internals or the owner/dealer is asking too much. Hopefully my luck will change soon.
