The expense including painting, chroming and labour cost 23000 aprox. I didnt compromise over replacement of parts. The list is too long to display it here. Anyhow i will paste the pic of my spares bill soon. I Found most of the parts from ADITYA SPARES, crosscut road. And some parts i got it from the YAMAHA SHOWROOM near ganapathy. No one hesitates to help with spares when one is restoring a RX.

When enquired about sticker, the painter hesitated it as the tank looks BOLD in the MATT finish look. So i dropped the idea of adding stickers to the tank and covers.
Stickers will have to placed carefully cos the clear coat will be applied over it again. So i wont be able to change the stickers again easily.

This Filter works fine. Thanks to ABU - my mechanic for sourcing me this filter from his scraps. It looks so beautifful under the tank. It is the one of the EYE CATCHER .

Bro i expected ur presence here. Dude i searched everywhere but i could get a rx135 from Other state for 10k. I decided not to wait anymre and picked it up the very next day when i saw this bike. I was ready to spend 6k for re-registration. so i felt this was the apt choice rather paying 25-40k for a coimbatore rx in moderate condition. I am happy about my choice . Thanks for the support.

Nice work buddy you could have easily got one for about 12 back home, but then shipping and other stuffs were to be considered. and am planning to get my hands on a rxz pretty soon

I found one with a Major whose is in right now in the Wellington, konoor camp. He was riding rx-z during his college days. He posted a ad in quikr.com. I called him 15days back. He is selling the bike for 10k. Try ur luck on tat. I didnt see the bike but for tat cost i would blindly go for the deal. I am holding te rx-z remake for the final year of my coll. I am trying to find a 5 speed now. I need a very low cost 5 speed just with papers, and the bike in below running condition would do. I want to give the bike a completely fresh look like this one.

Why don't you just try getting a 5 speed gear box for your bike? One of my friends can get me a 5sp gearbox, here in Chennai. Gimme a call if you're interested. Nisar did you find Genuine spares from Aditya because they mostly have sun brand which is their own product. CAG Yamaha showroom will give genuine spares.

Can you tell me where to find complete genuine cylinder kit (ART pistons) with engine bearing for RX100 and new chassis in Coimbatore

RX100 initial cylinder kit(Y-1, Y-2) that came with the bike might have come with ART piston. That is something 1986-87 batch. Later Escorts manufactured cylinder/bore kit locally bearing the batch code (G-1,2..4) came with Escorts-Mahle piston kits.

RX135 came with ART piston kit till last known, however, even those bore kits are almost extinct and for sure will not available in showrooms these days.

I even heard that frame component are not available and YASS has their orders in backlog for atleast over 6 months if I'm not wrong. May be if lucky might find some old stock with dealers. That would need some door to door search. Coimbatore is also known to manufacture frames for RX. I don't know anyone using those frames atleast in our xbhp.

My RX100 chassis got rusted completely and at one place I find a big hole. So planning to replace with a new chassis. I know Yamaha RX spares are dying slowly I did door to door search for genuine manifold rubber for my RX135.
Can we find genuine bore with ART pistons in Chennai/Blore. My bike is currently running in second oversize piston. Last year when I inquired in showroom they told Genuine engine block with piston can be ordered from Yamaha and the cost was something around 9k

Even when I inquired about the hole in chassis they told we can cut that part and weld. But I am not interested in that I want the bike look stock and sound genuine

I'm getting confused as to why you quote both RX100 and RX135. You say have RX100 bike and looking for RX135 bore kit? Or you own both?

With regards to RX chasis, not sure if you can order these days to get one. However, don't hesitate to contact CBE YASS for placing the order. Let it come.

So far the bore kit available at YASS is for RX100 which comes with the price tag of Rs.8200 MRP.

There is no news about RX135 again available with YASS till last I'm aware of. I'm certain that RX135 bore kits are not available in Chennai. In Bangalore should be more or less the same case unless if we are able to find some stockist ready to spare.

Sriram I have both RX100 & 135 now I am searching the bore, piston and chassis for RX100. I have to start searching the spares from now.

Let me contact the YASS for the spares and try to source what all the genuine spare they have

To my knowledge during the search of spares I got only the OE spares whichever was available in aditya. I asked them to give me the OE spares. From the indicators to the pilot lamp case ADITYA SPARES sales man " A BHAI" provided me only the OE. I didnt purhcase the cylinder kit till now for any rx. I didnt find the need to replace the cylinder kit. So if come to know about the OE cylinder kit i'll let u know for sure. But pls dont compromise with SUN brand. Its too inferior . I suffered a lot of problems buying the Sun spares earlier. And ADITYA provides some spares in loose - FOr ex ' - the kicker lock, kicker spring and the screws nuts and bolts. I changed the kicker lock thrice for this bike . All the kicker locks failed to hold for the first kick even. I got a kicker lock from the garage in kunyamuthur from a abondoned rx135 lying in my mechnics friends shed. Thanks god i did not face the urge to get the same kicker lock from aditya since it was not available anywhere else. .............
