Since i have only one year of college days left i am making the most of the time to get my college ride list lined up with the rx series. I finished making the rxz 4 speed , rx135 4speed, btw i made a 5speed for my friend too. Now i am making a 5 speed for me.:d

even my parents doesnt know that i am making bikes for the reason that i am in love with these genius machines.

So point is i cannot spend a long time over searching spares. I try out the yass first and then cover up the remaining spares in aditya.that is the best option left with me. Its hard to wait for too long in searching spares.

The ones who have the old yamaha spares stock are demanding a dozen money higher than the mrp. So for student like me aditya is the best in terms of cost and time saving too. All in one store..

Nisar I am junior to you in terms you have restored 3 bikes but I am starting with the first one.

From Haryana?? you have to follow some transfer formalities which will be a tiresome process and its better you can find a 135 5-speeder in Coimbatore. You can source genuine spare from YASS but they have very limited spare for 135 that too for a 5 speeder its almost extinct

You can contact Ram who restored his 135 recently he has some spares and a perfect guide for 135 restoration ....

check my album sir. You will get to see the rx-z which i restored not to stock completely but i tried to give it a rather good look with the box swing arm of the UNICORNS ( excluding the mono shock ).

Exactly! I am tired of hearing insane rates quoted in ads by indivisuals who own a 5 speed and in the mind of selling it. I know coimbatore will always remain famous for spares availability but the cost of rx135 versions will be nearly touching the ON-Road price of Yamaha rx135 for which yamaha once sold a new bike during production.

The last rx135 which i restored for my friend was a complete crap. He got the bike from E-rode for a sum of 26k and finally when he brought the bike to cbe i was put to tears seeing his future expenses he'll have to spend for making the bike run in a moderate condition. crank was almost dead and was pulling the riders weight even. Tank and side covers was of rx100s and it was not the OE ones. sporket completely vanished. chain was in the worst condition making all sorts of jinglings...... and for a sum of 26k.....i made the bike from My well known Mechanic ''abu '' ... at a decent cost of 13k the mechanic got it to complete run wih new tank and side covers ( Not OE) . I could see my friend smiling like someone had rescued him from drowning in a deep ocean.

This 4 speed i restored was bought from GWALIOR, MP. I got it for 10k + 1200 ( NOC broker commission which the owner itself helped me to get it but i made the payment)+ 1650( for train ) + 500 ( for collecting the bike late after its arrival ) = 14000 aproxx.

So is it better to buy a piece of moderate running bike which is tagged 6 times my pocket money or is it better to buy a bike from other state with pakka noc ???? I was stopped by police wala at the fish market in ukdam. The only fault was i didnt have insurance but the police spared me luckily asking me to get it done soon).

i spent 20 - 25k aproxx and made it run in brand new condition. I feel this is the only fare and convenient way for a student like me who wants to turn his dreams into reality.

I request the 5 speed owners in cbe whoever is willing to sell the bike may kindly spare students like me demanding a huge cost. I wont be able to pay a single installment even if u arrange finance for me...................

Note- Its easy to get a bike for low cost from other state if the Indivisual selling the bike cooperates and helps us get NOC under our payment. When i made the payment for this bike, i didnt even see the bike untill it arrived in cbe. lols)

Nisar well if that is your plan well go ahead and get a bike from some other state. Yamaha RX version rates is fancy in Coimbatore that to a Coimbatore registered bike will have something more even it is in the pathetic situation.

Today Yamaha owners never mind what is their bike's condition if some other Yamaha goes for that rate they need their bike to be sold at that cost. If you are a college going guy then they will demand you more....

Your RXZ's painting and sticker looks cool. But the FZ headlight assy is not looking good try to find original head light and wind shield it will be perfect and also the front mudguard it looks good but when it is OE it will add more glamor to the bike.

The rectangular swingarm is looking good and goes with the bike

As i am working on the remake of my recentlypicked rx100 , i wanted to sort the carb issue of my rx135 too... I am using the rx100 carb nut and pin in my rx135 carburator . The response is very good . No issues reg this mod. I am doing so cos the nut and pin was missing when i picked the bike from gwalior. I didnt notice at first but during the remake process i was told by my mechanice that bikes carb nut and pin has some defects.

I searched whole of cbe but i didnt find in any of the showroom, even in aditya it was not available.

Will the use of rx100 pin cause any hassles in future?? If anyone could source me the nut and pin set of rx135 4 speed carb pls let me know about it.

Thanks. Hope to find a solution soon. The mileage is really good now. i am gettin 50-55kmpl in moderate speeds. But i doubht whether this might create ane problem to carb in near future.

I'm not able to understand nut and pinset here? What are you referring?

finally the rx135 arrives from vishakapatnam. its in awesome condition. got it for 18k finally wid new pair of birla tires. YUHUUUU

Railway parcel service pissed me off. It took 14 days to reach cbe from vishak.
Due to jam packed goods they were unable to get my bike down from that lot so it was got down at alapula. From der it was forwarded to Shoranur and then to tvmk and then finall reached cbe on 29th june.

damages - 3 indicators, speedo bracket was looking like a rose flower with dried petals hanging down. And the clutch lever was also broken. I could speak anething as i was happy to have recieved the bike atleast on the 14th day.

Are you referring to shoke plug? Since it is not pin pointed in the pic, had to assume.

This highlighted carb nut is of the rx100's. I didnt find rx135's carb nut so had to use rx100's. I am using the rx100 accel cable too . For rx135 it comes different.

Guys...its great to see lot of action happening in Cbe...am missing my hometown (Sorgame yendralum athu nammura pola aaguma)

When I was in Cbe, there used to be a shop called Lachu Automobiles just next to RR towers in Gandhipuram, I forgot his name...he is used to get us spares for RX / Yezdi / RE, all would be original and he himself is a RX lover.

Refer to him as Fabian / Ramesh / Manohar (Yezdi) he will remember us, we had purchased enough spares from him for our restorations. This Manohar was a excellent 2 stroke mech (Specialist in Yezdi) he was also a chief srutiniser in Kari at some point of time when Mr. Kari was alive and he was his chief mech. Age and drinks made all his skills go for a toss & not sure if he is still there at the Trichy Road shed (Next to Kannan there would be a small lane) Lost all those contacts around 7yrs now.

Good times being in Coimbatore and a mojor automobile freak city ever.

I ll surely find him. Can u specify the shop name or the exact location of his shop???

I always give the bike to my mechanic abu in kunyamuthtur as its close to my coll and the room i stay. His work has always impressed me and in terms of labour charges and other fittings its close to less he charges. For students labour charges are a big headache so this time full dismantling of the bike wud be carried out by me without loosing a single nut or rubber.

Do meet up when u cum to cbe. I am eager over learing frm u seniors. Thanks!!!

Betweem do u know any scrap yard in cbe where i can source some bikeparts from bikes disposed off long back. I found a old petrol filter in tat manner from the kunyamuthur scrapyard. Its hard to find such pieces but i got it when i was searching a rxz silencer in the scrapyard. I have installed it in my rx135...it makes the bike luk rapchiiiik and does the trapping of small dust particles frm entering the carb.
