Many thanks for the pics Vijay.. Thats the exact spot.. a stopper has been provided as OE fitment, removing that will give way for tacho cable I think.

Check if your case cover had the provision for the tacho.

Thanks for the Heads-Up Chethan..! Have sent you a mail, awaiting reply...

Can you also post the picture of engine casing where the tacho hole is drilled? Mine being a central locking system, I'm considering RXZ meter for my RX too. My mech claims that drilling hole might not be required as there's a factory drilled slot in my Rx which can be used for tacho installation.
Thanks badri, the factory drilling afaik came only with cases that had rpm installed. Anyways, will try posting a pic.

Yes, RXZ worm gear will be good on 100 Sri. There is no black & white gears. There is onle plastic worm gear in white and one metal gear wheel. maybe that should have given the impression of black & white.

I think, some came with holes drilled & had stopper cock to prevent oil spilling out. Better check once again...

check wheather it has through hole.. i strongly doubt.. since the stopper plug only will not be able to arrest the oil leak.

Ok, back here after a long time...

Posting something that is going to be real close to my heart....Brought her home for 13.5k without even seeing her in person a year and a half back. My long dream of restoring her in an impulsive manner thrashed as commitments that got lined up after the purchase made her to see the worst....dust, grime and what not? Although she wasn't running, she was a hottie in the late 90's and sure she will be still once back. The first stage of restoration began y'day with a last few clicks in her own factory clothing...Although this would be a snail restoration until the painting is achieved..there would be progress on a steady pace. More updates to come soon..

Thanks Dinesh..Yes, indeed it was a long pending project that was gathering dust...Had a long list of pending parts like 5 Speed GB, body panels, Gladi disc set-up and stuff...As almost everything is in it's place now just thought why not and hence it's started. The only pending thing that i'm in search of is the 5s Magnet side covers..apart from that pretty much everything is in it's place :-)

yes, Dinesh it's a Challenger that is for sale..:-)

The 5 speed cover is a little hard to get, I searched for one and couldn't get. ASFAIK the company doesn't make IIRC the oil pump cover anymore.
At last I had to settle with the RX 100 style cover.
Good luck with your restoration. Please post more picture.

Painting is going to be the biggest challenge... Matching factory painted panels with the ones that I need to paint is going to be a nightmare...

I know getting the magnet covers is a tough job... But let me try and see... If not worst comes worst I'll stick with the 4s covers

Ram you already matched the factory colors for your RX 135-5 Speed .... So this time you will find it a bit easier and also you have very good detailed eye for matching the colors

Trust me Dinesh..This ACB color is pretty hard to match, a bit solid on the shade without any flakes..a hard blue shade compared to the 5S blue which has more of Violet..But again, i have to do it no matter what..:-)

I don't want to mess around with the 5S Atul, being served loyally so many days i can't do that for the Z...My Search would be on until i get hold of the magnet cases, else worst comes worst will stick on to the 4s case on the magnet side :-(
