Great Ram.I don't like the colour blue.I actually hate it,Except for the rxz's and the bmw m series ones. Couldn't wait to see how it turned out.

Thanks Deepan. To be very frank, I didn't like the 5S Blue actually as it's more of Violet than Blue, but on the contrast the 4S is a damn solid Blue that bleeds blue everywhere...Wasn't very lucky with the painting actually, will be visiting BMW's local paint booth this week-end for a second opinion about the shade match :-)

I want to say the bling on your 135 gives me amazing amazing dreams and i'm too into a lot of the bling bling factor.
I wanted to know, how did you make the "Sirac street" and "Michelin" labels on the tyre white?.I find that particularly attractive..!.Guide me on the same.

But white paint fades na?,With repeated use.Correct me if i'm wrong but do we need to paint it often again and again as it fades(Maintain it) or is there like a sealant which lets you paint it and forget it?

No need to paint often, mate.Just use any white paint available.I used some oil paint from canvas painting kits(camelin,I think,it came in 10-15 ml bottles) to highlight zapper and MRF in my pulsar some two years back. The tyre is now worn out and discarded, but the white is still there. It does turn a brown shade from regular use,but just wipe with a sponge with shampoo whenever you are washing the bike and you get the white letters and the clean black tyre back in minutes.

Hi kb, tried this in my RX100.
Initially it was looking good. within a month it became a kind of brittle and started peeling/falling off (spoiling the look)

use thin layer of whitener if you fill the depression then it will flake irrespective of the fact whether it is whitener or paint ,

Coming back after a long time of haul...

Lost couple of parts with the old painter shutting down his shop without prior intimation. Have finally shifted to a new painter last night around 60kms from Coimbatore and here are a few pictures before the painting process..

The Painting Spree is on and almost complete. The Transformation below.

                                Here's how it looked..

Sorry for the Auto Focus Issue

Here's how it looked after a skilful tinkering work with base coat

All parts in base coat ready for the actual shade

With the First coat of Paint on the parts

Gas tank after 2 coats of Blue and stickering in progress

                                After the tank stickering completed

The final shade before the Clear coat in Sunlight

Final Product getting washed for a first clear coat

                                What I understood in this?

Patience can bring wonders at the end. The painter had no clue about getting the decals done as he's not used to such decals as all the latest ones comes in one clear sheet compared to all seperate ones in this.

So, the entire stickering process was helped out by fellow Bhipan karthikeyaan and Dove Shampoo that did wonders.

The last cost of clear would be applied today and the parts would be delivered tomorrow night.

Will update the final pics post that... :-)
