    Re: Two Stroker's Pride..Four Stroker's Envy....Version 2.0

    Thanks Guys.

Work has kept me really busy and yes the restoration did take a back seat, but yeah, it's back.

    Updates:
    1. Fork legs modded for RTR petal set-up has come back from painting
    2. Calipers, MC, Hose, banjo bolts all purchased.
    3. Finally got hold of a genuine PWK28, thanks to Sunnyboi for that..

    Pending:
    1. Assembling of the front end, which according to my knowledge should get over in a day or two
    2. Replacing the PWK replica's with genuine ones.

    Will keep the thread alive...

Coming back with a solid update as there was some serious progress in the last two weeks from the last time of posting here.

The bike has been assembled completely along with the body kit that was lying packed safe. Took a lot of pains in getting the front disc set-up done as it was kind of a hit or miss fixing the RTR disc set-up on a spokes wheel. Sincere thanks to Vijay for all the efforts put in getting the disc set-up arranged. How lucky that could be?? As lucky as ever. Vijay arranged a brand new disc set-up excluding the MC and Caliper, even to the smallest of the allen bolts and washers.

Took a time of tinkering around in getting the disc set-up mounted as I went ahead with a RXZ fender on a RTR outer legs with a bit of welding here and there without compromising the safety part. So, the bike hosts the OE Z fender on a RTR legs with proper clearance from both sides and from the tyre as spacers had to be machined locally.

      Pending works are as follows;

      1. Front Monogram
      2. Underside tank reflectors
      3. Fork seal boots
      4. New Battery
      5. Rear View Mirrors and
      6. Crash guards.

As the bike has rolled out the ramp for testing and tuning, the pending works shall be completed in a week or so at a slow pace.

      Till then, enjoy the pics..

Now coming to your bike restoration, the choice of colour is gorgeous, Its all tied in well. I believe the tyres are put the wrong way as your front tyre is a rotation tyre and looks like it has gone in the wrong way. Looks like you have used the pulsar 18" disk hub and speedo worm, I am sure you might have to modify the top end of the speedo cable. The RTR petel disk is a straight fit on the pulsar hub as the holes line up perfectly, I have used it on a avenger hub on my RD then decided to put the avenger disk.

Thank You TVSian, I thik this would be my last 2 Stroke as I'm done with all these beautiful machines. Thanks to the ever inflating prices and scarce availability of spares.

Hi Pramod. Thanks for the complements. The tyre as mentioned is a tubeless and put in the right way. It's a front specific tyre and not a rear one. For the disc parts, all the parts are of TVS and no Pulsar parts were used. This includes the Hub, disc catcher plate up till the last M4 allen bolts. It's easier with the Pulsar parts, but i chose to take the hard route.

                Thanks again. :-)

Yes looked at the direction arrow, the pattern looks the opposite though. The hub looked very similar to the pulsar hub.

Looks amazing! Love the build and the RTR disc looks striking. This color is my favourite, painting looks top notch! Please take some more photos (maybe a photo shoot) outside the garage after completing all the pending works.

Yesterday I replaced my RX 100 tyres. I was looking for MRF Zappers like the OP, but none seems to have stock, so ended up buying CEAT Secura Zoom. It had similar tread pattern and the arrow pointing opposite direction same as the photo you quoted. I was confused, checked other tyres and brands, everything looked the same way. I guess no more 'V' pattern.

Go for Michelins sirac street, nothing matches those tyres, love the look, try to get ribbed tyres for the front, I have the Dunlop ones.

I went for a puncture and the tube was cut near the neck. My front tyre was already lifeless and looked like a tube. Since I was not using the bike for longer rides I kept postponing on the tyre purchase. This recent tube change made me to get a replacement immediately or I would have never changed the old one in near future. So went ahead on the available choices. Since I had already bought and fixed it, I will have your suggestion for the rear one. Thanks you! Sorry for the OT.
