There is no plug as Mico BP7hs. it has to be W5BC. please check again. If it still has MICO and BP7hs written on it, it is fake.

Just find a genuine MICO dealer and ask for W5BC.

If you want genuine parts, go to the authorized/reputed shop for your needs. Stop dealing with him.

If NGK BP7HRS suits then you can buy it from Yamaha showroom. They are selling BP7HRS

Should it be BPR7HS, rather than BP7HRS. Or can i think this is a typo error??

Problem with early morning start up

                      Hi all,

My bike sputters and shuts down after a cold start ( the only way to keep it live is to use the choke lever for first 10 seconds). I have recently got the carb cleaned and the airfuel screw and the worn out "O" ring replaced. THe problem still persists. I got the carb tuned at one of the most reputed two stroke mechanics in hyderabad. Is there any problem with the jets, kindly suggest and advise.

The average per liter is more or less the same as before.

Update from me fellow bikers. I have got the clutch plates, carb manifold and the carb jets replaced two days back in addition to a new chain and sprocket. The problem as mentioned in the previous post still persists and I do not see any noticeable difference. I am wondering if there is any problem with the engine oil seals ( there is no xtra smoke from the exhaust). or if there is any electircal coil problem ( The bike runs fine after the warm up for 200 meters with the choke pulled to keeep it from dying).

The guy who replaced the clutch plates has adivsed me to go for a rebore, but I am not fully convinced without any test to the cylinder pressure properly. Can anyone suggest a place where I can get the cylinder compresion validated and what is the actual psi pressure when new..please advise.

My bike has just about touched 70,000 kms and the oil pump is working flawlessly. The bike struggles both in first gear when tackling a steep incline or past 60kmph ( becomes very rough). I weight around a 100kg and rarely take a pillion.

I am mulling over the idea of sanding the rust till the bare metal is shown and then apply primer followed by a coat of black paint finally clear coat. I am attaching the pictures for reference. I would be grateful if fellow bikers could share their experience.

Hello srikany very well maintained samurai, keep it up man, for tackling rust, rust converters are available in the market, this chemical reacts with loose or adherent rust on the metal and convert the rust into inert and adherent organo-metallic coating with the process called chleating agents and additives hence stopping it from further rusting, you can go for these chemicals, furthermost the treated part can be painted and lacquered.

UPdate regarding the re-registration process for my bike. My Good Ol Sammy's Fitness is due on 24 Septemper 2014.

Here is the adventure so far.

I went to the Uppal RTO where the bike was registered, and was told that they cannot carryout the re-registration of the bike as they handed over the entire AP28 series to Attaput RTO in Hyderabad itself(30 kms away). THe next Saturday I went to Attapur RTO and filled up Form 25( Re-registration applicaiton), Form 33(Intimation of Address change), The Administrative officer who checks all applications now tells me, " We will issue CC(Clearance Certificate aka NOC) to Uppal RTO as your present address is still under the jurisdiction of the UPPal RTO so submit Form 28.

I took the Form 28(cost 2 Rs) filled it up and submitted copies of Adhar card, PUC, Insurance, Original (Paper) RC at counter 4 with a cash payment of 85 Rs as fee. I was told to collect the RC & NOC after 4:30 Pm the same day. I waited for close to three hours and managed to get the RC( I was not given the same original Paper RC, but a Printout signed by the official in 2 places). along with the NOC directed to TS08(Telangana). Just to be sure I have all documents, I corss checked with Agents if the given set is good to get my bike registered. I just about managed to overcome the first hurdle.

Now, the next task is to go to the Uppal RTO and submit the NOC and RC along with Form 25 and Form 28. For now Keeping my fingres cossed about what is in store with the Uppal RTO

If the bike had done 70k kms on a single bore, it is definitely time for a rebore.
