    - STAY away from the engine oil available from fuel station for now even if its Castrol sachet. Pls use Shell (not sure if Motul still supplied) 2T engine oil in the tank with about 10-20% increase from the regular oil pump mix - Sir, the usual oil ration is about 30 ml per liter ( as measured by oil consuption using the Oil pump only, so you are suggesting me to add an additional 3-6 ml per liter in the petrol tank right. - Have heard a few ppl suggesting using coconut oil instead of 2t as premix..

    - When you feel the heat at the ankles from the engine, pull over for some rest...for the engine - I usually go to the office avoiding peak hour traffic and heat, I start from office only when sun goes down
    - Pls refuel only from a good fuel station & preferably stick there until the runin completes - Yes, I am tanking up from a know and reliable petrol pump
    - I hope you're using a good engine oil from Motul or Shell; around 500 Km or so, please change the engine oil & once again around 1000 Km. I know this is overkill, but doesn't harm - The present Clutch plates have been replaced about 1500 kms back in April last year,I am guessing you are referring to the Gear box oil (20W40) here. Yes my mech has putin Castrol mineral and I will make sure to change it on my own with Shell or Motul Mineral once the odo is close to 500 kms.

Sudarshan Vaidya? Remember the advice we gave you to go in for a new block piston instead of getting rebored? -Ok sir, got the context now. I am a member of the T - Bp but unable to post as the moderators are not convinced with my angregi

Also there is one thing I need to check with you, my mech has advised a run in period of 1000 kms. Is that ok or should I be careful for a few hundred more.

Yes, 1000 Kms is fine; but remember to increase the speed gradually even after that; some may suggest being careful only up to 1000 Km, but I did learn from few Wise people like psr sir to open up the throttle after the 1000/1500 Km, but stay cautious until 4000 Km to be on safer side.

Coconut oil - Please stay off!!

Yes, 20W40 (or whatever the owner's manual says); personally we would suggest Shell or Motul, stay off from Castrol. Not that its bad, but Motul is expensive, Shell is VFM & both of them do slightly better job & costs same or less than Castrol.

Usual ratio - Not sure, its 23-25 ml for Rx, if my memory serves right & this info can be obtained from workshop manual of Suzuki Samurai as what the company recommends. Like you said right, if the manual says 30 ml, yes, start with 6-7 ml additional initially & keep going towards 2-3 ml more per liter of petrol. And I would humbly request...please do a full tank instead of Rs 50 or Rs 100 per refuel.
