About a week back while on a short ride towards a place called peradoor I stopped by house and have a look at something... more like plants on a bike. The curious me decides to get a closer look. What I see next, just amazes me but a part of me gets extremely angry.
What lied beneath the weeds was a suzuki shogun. Surprised, shocked and pissed I continue with my ride. All the while thinking about the bike. Half way on my ride I decided that I needed that bike and I had to own it

On my return ride, I stopped again and spoke to the house owner. Learnt the reason for the bike being in that condition and it was sad. I request the man for the keys and he happily obliged. After four kicks the bike started. I was surprised that it did looking at its condition.
Spoke to the gentleman about it a little more and expressed my interest in the bike and offered to buy it. He just didn't agree to it, I gave him my no. and asked him to call me if he ever changed his mind. A few days back I got a call and he said okay.
So yesterday morning I go there and buy this legend of a machine. Though the engine seemed to start, I need to open it and check it out. Also body is in one of the worst shapes ever possible. I plan a two stage restoration where the body work, painting and assembly I shall do in udupi, where the bike currently is and the second part of working on the engine I shall do it back in blore where I live, as it shall be easier to source the parts. A lot of work ahead but I hope to get this machine back to it's glory.
A pic of the bike in its current state:

I started riding on a shogun and fortunately learned a small amount about two strokes under the tutelage of my mech during my earlier college days, hope to use that little knowledge and a lot help from the experts here to bring back the boss
plan to get the tank and chassis painted asap and here i am confused if i should stick to the original boss color or try something new (shogun aficionados might kill me for even having this thought
