Good job on the carb bro. The chassis looks rusted all over, are you sure that it would be reliable enough? And hope you have sourced your major parts by now.

An update has been long over due. Problem is I did find most of the parts but haven't started sourcing them yet, issue being I don't have the time to work on it. Come December I shall start work again

Gud luck on the rebuild. Waiting for the "Boss: on road in new avatar. Could you able to get a Shogun/Shaolin Speedo/Tacho meter set? Even second hand is ok. Appreciate your help.

What lied beneath the weeds was a suzuki shogun. Surprised, shocked and pissed I continue with my ride. All the while thinking about the bike. Half way on my ride I decided that I needed that bike and I had to own it

On my return ride, I stopped again and spoke to the house owner. Learnt the reason for the bike being in that condition and it was sad. I request the man for the keys and he happily obliged. After four kicks the bike started. I was surprised that it did looking at its condition.

Spoke to the gentleman about it a little more and expressed my interest in the bike and offered to buy it. He just didn't agree to it, I gave him my no. and asked him to call me if he ever changed his mind. A few days back I got a call and he said okay.

So yesterday morning I go there and buy this legend of a machine. Though the engine seemed to start, I need to open it and check it out. Also body is in one of the worst shapes ever possible. I plan a two stage restoration where the body work, painting and assembly I shall do in udupi, where the bike currently is and the second part of working on the engine I shall do it back in blore where I live, as it shall be easier to source the parts. A lot of work ahead but I hope to get this machine back to it's glory.

Oh man! I wanna work on your bike so much. I like bikes but what really hits the spot is restoring 2-strokes. Check the jets while you have the carb opened, often some people "clean" them with wires ruining them forever.

Thanks for the offer, if you were closeby I might have just taken u up for ur word, for some personal reasons I just dont have the time to work on it right now so everything is at a standstill.

Abt the carb jets, I had just used some wd-40 and an air pump

Yeah, WD-40 and a air pump should do the trick, if nothing works, boil everything in vinegar or lemon juice. I was talking about the previous owner, he may have knowingly or unknowingly "cleaned" the jets with a wire. I have encountered that problem often in bikes I take up to restore, so I made it a rule to replace the jets as I rebuild the bike.

Wait you guys, until my "GUN" comes out.

But appreciate the effort fellas, keep it coming.

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
                      The girl said, 'NO!'

And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

                      THE END

He may not have access to a microscope to take pictures of his gun.
