Finally
Which water pump are you using? TRZ or electric?

Hi biker_350!
Awesome build this.
Can you guide on how to go about fitting front disc brake on my RD?
Also which rear shocks have you used!Dad's Bajaj Super-1983-1989

Re: RD350 Rebuild Story
this is either stays welded to the stock forks(which I highly doubt) or RD 400 outer tubes. Technically you can fix any front end, depends on whether you want to do it on the RD t stem or fix the whole front end including the T stem from a different bikeOriginally posted by zestbiker View PostHi biker_350!

The RD inner tubes are 34 mm dia, it can take anything below 34 mm with a sleeve fixed to the t stem or if you want to go for a bigger dia fork tubes(like I did) you have to rebore the t stem and the top plate.
I have used a pulsar 220 front end with avenger hub, the hub needs to be shaved 4 mm
feel free to ask any questions in this regards.

Re: RD350 Rebuild Story
Thank you Pramod-You are quite a DIY fellow-does your bike retain the original 18"RIM,the standard ride height and hence the standard steering geometry-does the avenger hub need to be shaved 2mm each side at the axle fittment or DOES THE DIA NEED TO BE DOWNTURNED-did you use a pulsar disc or an Avenger front disc due to the mating of P220 brakes and Avenger hub?Approx cost estimate will also be helpful.Originally posted by yam View Postthis is either stays welded to the stock forks(which I highly doubt) or RD 400 outer tubes. You have asked many questions, let me break it down for you;Originally posted by zestbiker View PostThank you Pramod-You are quite a DIY fellow
Gaurav
Yes the Rims are 18", I have retained the original 18" rims, three options of rims available other than RDs, Pulsar classic(widest of the lot), CBZ classic and Unicorn.Originally posted by zestbiker View Postdoes your bike retain the original 18"RIM
The rake height is changed, but can be corrected by reducing the pump height, My issue was frequent wheelies, so this increased rake height is helping a lot. About the shaving of 4mm from the hub, it needs to be done from both the sides uniformly, best idea is to stick the fork in the triple tee and take it to a lathe and get the disk fixed and clearances set accordingly.Originally posted by zestbiker View Postthe standard ride height and hence the standard steering geometry-does the avenger hub need to be shaved 2mm each side at the axle fittment or DOES THE DIA NEED TO BE DOWNTURNED
What I used is avenger disk but the Apache RTR petal disk is a straight fit, people usually go for the P220,Duke braided hose, its short in length, get any pulsar black hose.Originally posted by zestbiker View Postdid you use a pulsar disc or an Avenger front disc due to the mating of P220 brakes and Avenger hub?
P220 fork outer tubes = 1800Originally posted by zestbiker View PostApprox cost estimate will also be helpful.
P220 inner tubes 1500
Springs 400
plunger 200 odd
Fork oil 300
master cylinder 935(P220)
Calliper 2000(P220)
Hose 600(pulsar 180 DTSI)
bearings 700
Avenger Hub 670
Avenger disk 1200
spokes are from a pulsar classic disk model(you have to straighten the bend a bit, experienced guy can do that, do it before plating them)
the lathe charges were aprox 2000 for the whole exercise. Hope it helps
