    After discussing the engine issue in detail with doc. Nitesh Patidar aka yamdoot, we came to the agreement that it should be a fun street set up. With a mildly ported block with more emphasis on low and midrange power.

    Doc yamdoot was kind enough to provide the ported block and a reworked high compression head. A vm24 carb was to replace the rxg vm22. Fiber reeds and uni filter were to be put in to make sure crisp response. Gearbox was to be upgraded to a 5 speed unit. More on the planning process and assembly tomorrow.

    A special thank you to dr. Nitesh patidar for being my guide and more importantly my friend. It is because of his guidance and patience that I have come this far in my ventures with two strokes. Doc, you are the best stroker and human being a man can call a friend. Thank you so much for everything.

      Before assembling the engine I decided to adress the crankcase leakage issue. It was largly due to the fact that the case dowel pins were misplaced hence not put in the case. Resulting in offset carnk case leading to leakage. Also there was slight pitting of the mating surface.

      So I got the dowel pins and got the surface fixed in ledh. The rx crank case comes with 2 dowel pins. One in front and one in back. I decided that in the interest of good sealing a third one, at the bottom(the case has provison for it) would be better.

      Then came the matter of beautification. I will let you guys be the judge of that.

        Thanks for the appreciation Bibhu. Those are some heavy words . It is your dedication and patience that has helped you thru both your rebuilds. We got to see your eye for detail in your RD rebuild too and the experience it gave you is reflecting on this rebuild. super job. keep us updated with more pics.

              After the cases were fixed rebuild began.


              Pioneer oil seal kit. I find them better in quality than wats available at asc.

                As I have said earlier, the clutch was a goner. A new clutch assembly would have been ideal. But it was not in the budget. So a bit of compromise had to be made.

                I had a old rx100 clutch bell/primary gear combo in good condition. I obtained a nos rx135 clutch basket and installed it on the 100 2ndary gear. A bit of ledh work had to be done on the basket. But in the end the reasult was satisfactory.

                The crank was reset and a new connecting rod was put in. Its nothing fancy. But i suppose it will do the job well enough.


                A 5sp gb kit was obtained to replace the old and worn out 4sp kit.


                Allen bolt kit to replace the conventional engine screw kit. Provides a tighter fit.

                  be very careful with the hardened allen bolts while tightening as it is very easy to strip threads,

                          For looks you may try new thunderbird's indicators and tail light. Keep it chromed or black out according to the paint scheme.
